Chapter 592
Daddy, Mommy had been in Prison
âSo, youâre saying that once we let you go, youâll contact Jayson and act like youâre helping him. And then youâll find out who the spy is. Is that right?â
Georgia asked and Sarah nodded.
âYes, just take it as my atonement. When Travis wakes up, heâll get mad about what I did. I want to do at least one thing right so that heâll be happy. I hope that Iâm doing the right thing this time.â
Georgia didnât answer and stayed silent. She was considering if what Sarah suggested would work out or not.
This involved her children, she had to be extra careful.
Not to mention that if Sarah was telling the truth, her children would be in danger already. She had to be mindful of it.
âWe will think about it. For the time being, weâll move you to another place. Weâll let you know what we think as soon as possible.â
Robert said abruptly. He then grabbed Georgiaâs hand and walked out of the room.
Georgia went along with him. They held hands as they walked outside.
It was lightly snowing outside, the air turned very cold. Georgia sneezed soon after they got out.
âLetâs get into the car, itâs too cold outside. We should head home first.â
Robert held Georgiaâs hand as they got into the car. It was still warm in the car as the air conditioning was running. They told the driver to start driving. Georgia then asked Robert.
âWhat do you think? Do you think Sarah is telling the truth, or is she lying to us again? Honestly, I canât tell.â
âFifty-fifty. I think she didnât tell us the complete truth. Sheâs a smart person. Ever since she got into the Duran family, she never did anything wrong.
The Duran family recognized her ability as a successor. Maybe she was too clumsy when it comes to Travis, but she probably still had some backup plans. This time though, I really donât know what she is planning.â
Robert had the same thought as Georgia. They couldnât blindly believe what Sarah was telling them, but at the same time, they couldnât ignore what she said.
âThen, what should we do? Should we check everyone around us? If Jayson really bribed someone around us, the person would definitely make a move on our children very soon. Iâm afraid.â
Georgia couldnât stay calm just thinking that her children were in danger, and someone was constantly keeping an eye on them.
Robert and she had a huge business by now. They had secretaries, assistants, bodyguards, and many servants at home. There were at least more than a hundred people. Not to mention that they had extra protection service. There were a lot of people that they would have to look into. They didnât know what Jaysonâs plan was and who would he bribe.
If they were to investigate it, it would be a pain. One thing they were afraid of was that before they could finish checking, the spy already made their move.
âDo you think we should go with Sarahâs plan? The one where she continues working with Jayson, but in reality, she will be finding out who the mole is.â
âLetâs think about it a bit more. Letâs go home and check the people closer around us first. Then, we can wait for Travisâ report to come out and make a decision after that. If Travis is in danger, then thereâs a higher chance that Sarah is lying to us. Since Travisâ life is the most important thing to her right now, she might do anything just to keep him alive. If Travisâ condition is stable and itâs just that he couldnât wake up due to the poison, then the chances of Sarah telling the truth will be higher.â
âIâm so confused.â
Georgia said as she sighed. She then laid her head on Robertâs shoulder and closed her eyes.
She was tired and wanted to rest. She tried to clear her mind, her head hurt a lot just thinking about everything.
Georgia soon fell asleep on Robertâs shoulder. Robert tried not to move around and told the driver to drive slowly so that Georgia could sleep better.
The one-hour drive turned into a ninety-minute drive. The drive was smooth, and Robert hugged Georgia in his arms so that she could sleep in a more comfortable position.
âSir, we have arrived.â
The driver said to Robert as he turned around. He tried his best to drive smoothly. Luckily, it was in the middle of the night so there wasnât any traffic jam, hence he was able to drive smoothly. Georgia didnât wake up at all.
âThank you for your service. You should head back to rest as well. Iâll bring Georgia back into the house, can you open the door for us?â
The driver quickly got out of the car and walked towards the back to open the door. Robert put one leg out slowly and carried Georgia who was in his arms carefully.
He walked slowly and tried to not let snowflakes land on her face. It took him six minutes to reach the living room.
When he got to the bedroom on the second floor, the butler came over and said in a low voice.
âSir, is there anything I can help you with?â
Robert was about to shake his head when he noticed that Georgia woke up.
âAre we home already?â
Georgia opened her eyes in a daze. She felt warm all over and noticed the butler. She then looked around and saw familiar things. She then subconsciously asked the question from before.
Robert smiled and nodded. He didnât put her down.
âIâll bring you to the room. Are you hungry? Iâll ask the butler to make you some supper if you are.â
âI want to eat some dumplings. But itâs fine if the cooks are already asleep, Iâll have some leftovers.â
The butler answered with a smile after hearing what Georgia said.
âThere are dumplings in the fridge. I can heat it up really quickly, just wait for a bit, madam. Iâll bring it over.â
âPut me down.â
Georgia said to Robert. Georgia thought that it was awkward to be carried by Robert like this with the butler around.
âIâll carry you upstairs. But if you want to eat downstairs, Iâll put you down.â
âIâll eat downstairs. Put me down and come eat with me. We didnât have anything since afternoon.â
Then, Robert said to the butler.
âHeat up two portions. Suit the madamâs taste, she likes it blander.â
The butler nodded and headed straight to the kitchen. Robert and Georgia sat down on the sofa.
It was cold outside, but it was warm inside with the heater on. Georgia took off her jacket and asked Robert.
âIt seems like a few hours has passed. Did I sleep for so long? Why did it take so long to get home?â
Daddy, Mommy had been in Prison ï¤Chapter 591 Planted a Spy The Unexpected Marriage ï¤Chapter 251 What's The Use Of You Have I Told You Lately ï¤Chapter 147 It must Feel Good to Have Him Drive Me to Work âYou fell asleep soon after we got into the car. I told the driver to drive slowly thatâs why it took longer than normal to get home. It took around two hours.â
âI feel awake now. I might not be able to sleep later.â
Georgia said as she frowned. If she slept until the next morning, this wouldnât be a problem. But she slept for about two hours and woke up in the middle of the night. She wouldnât be able to fall asleep later.
âIâll keep you company if you canât sleep. If you canât wake up early tomorrow, just take a day off. You fell asleep so easily today in the car, you had to be exhausted. Gigi, our situation is still not too dire. We shouldnât overwork ourselves. Iâm worried about you.â
Georgia felt happy upon hearing what Robert said. She grabbed his hand which was right next to her.
âI will rest well. We are busy this time around, but normally I sleep for eight hours every day. Weâre just a bit busy during the day but being busy makes me feel accomplished. I wouldnât force myself to work if Iâm sick. Well, Iâm not sick right now. Thereâs a lot of cumbersome things to handle every day, but I think itâs all good.â
âYou know that I like researching in the lab. Even if it wasnât for you, I think I would spend my days in the lab working with my colleagues. I think I will be happy like that.â
âWell, itâs fine as long as you know your limit. I wonât allow you to work if youâre sick. On the way home, I already order some of our subordinates to start the investigation on the mole. You should do the same on your side too. Wilson is still busy overseas, so we have to deal with this ourselves.â
Georgia remembered what Sarah said upon hearing Robert. She felt a bit agitated again and frowned.
