Chapter 134
Caught In His Embrace A Second Chance Romance
Chapter 134 Is Sienna taking her anger out on me? Am I the reason they canât be together? Josiah felt his temper flare. âWhat does any of this have to do with me?â
But as soon as he met Siennaâs piercing gaze, he fell silent. Yeah, it was my fault. The biggest stain on her was something I had given her.
âHmph. Itâs yourâ Sienna scoffed, glaring at him coldly. Then she remembered her four years in Fliraty and Joyce. Overwhelmed by emotion, she grabbed his tie. âWhy are you so bad? Weâre already divorced, yet you wonât leave me alone?
Because of their history, she felt she might never find love again. At first, that didnât bother her much. Love wasnât everything, and she could manage on her own while taking care of Joyce.
But then Cedric showed up. He didnât care about her past or judge her for being an orphan. He went out of his way to help her reconnect with the dance troupe. For the first time, she felt valued like thisâyet she dragged him down.
Sienna shot a glare at Josiah, tears beginning to form in her eyes, swirling like a storm.
Josiah froze, realizing she was actually crying this time. His anger, however strong, was doused by her tears. He stood still, not daring to move, and even bent slightly to match her height, making it easier for her to grab his tie.
âItâs my fault.â He rummaged in his pocket for a menâs cotton handkerchief and handed it to her. âDonât cry. Now that you like Cedric so much, donât worry. With me and the Flynn family here, he wouldnât dare to abandon you.â
âWhat do you want?â Sienna asked, her tearâfilled eyes wide open. Just donât overreact. Itâs none of your business.â
âWhat did I do this time? Josiahâs anger flared up again, but under Siennaâs intense gaze, he backed down. He frowned and surrendered with a sigh.
âFine, I wonât get involved, okay?â
âShe thinks I really want to get involved? How ungrateful! If I meddle again, Iâll be a fool, Josiah vowed in his heart and looked around. âItâs hard to catch a ride here. Get in, and Iâll drive you home. From now on, your issues are your own.â
With that, Josiah turned around. Behind him, Sienna adjusted her hair and suddenly covered her eyes. As she wasnât following, he turned back and urged, âHurry up. Whatâs taking so long?â
Seeing her covering her eyes, he wondered, Whatâs going on. Do I help or not? Before thinking it though, he stepped back quickly, leaned down, and asked, âWhatâs wrong with your eyes?â
âI donât know. Sienna covered her eyes, shaking her head. âMaybe an eyelash got in, or maybe itâs some sand.â
âLet me see,â Josiah said, reaching towards Siennaâs face. She instinctively pulled back, but he held her still. âDonât move. Do you think Iâm going to eat you or something?
He pulled her arm aside and forcibly opened her eyelid, muttering, âIf I were going to eat someone, Iâd choose a chubby one. Do you even have any meat on you? I wouldnât want to hurt my teeth.
Sienna fell silent. âWhy does he have to talk so creepily?â
âI saw it Hold still, and Iâll blow on it... There, all done.â Josiah gently blew on her eyelid, then let go, watching her anxiously. âHow does it feel now?
Sienna closed her eyes, rolled them around, then tried to open them. âItâs better now. Thanks.â
âNot a big dealâ Josiah grinned, his eyes sparkling with joy. He then got in the car and drove her to the entrance of Lyceum Street âThanks,â Sienna said as she pushed open the car door. As she stepped out, Josiah called out, âSienna âHm?â Sienna turned around, looking at him in confusion.
âWell...â Josiah pointed at her eyes. âDonât forget to put some ice on it, or ill be hard to go onstage tomorrow,â
Just for that? Sienna thought to herself. âGot it, thanks,â she said, then got out of the car and walked into the alley.
Josiah squinted slightly as he watched her walk away, feeling a strange tickle in his chest. He had almost asked if things between her and Cedric were really over, yet the words never came out.
So what if she and Cedric are done? What does that have to do with me? Josiah thought bitterly, turned his gaze away, and drove off.

+23 âCedric...â Siennaâs breath caught instantlyâshe should have realized he wouldnât just give up. Suddenly, she spun around and ran out of the alley, while Cedric, completely unaware, waited for her downstairs.
Sienna ran all the way to the end of Lyceum Street, holding her forehead in confusion. What should I do now? I canât go back to the apartment, so where else can I go?â
She still didnât have the keys to the house Josiah gave her, for transferring property took more time than a simple cash transaction. After thinking for a moment, she pulled out her phone, scrolled through her contacts, and called a number.
âHello,â replied Rosie Miller, her colleague from the dance troupe.
Sienna said, âItâs me, Sienna.â
âI know. Whatâs up?â Rosie laughed.
âUm...â Sienna said awkwardly, âCan I stay at your place for a couple of days?â
âSure, no problem at all,â Rosie agreed without hesitation. âIâll send you my location. Just come over.â
âThank you.â
âNo need to be so formal.â
After hanging up, Sienna got a message from Rosie and rushed over. Rosieâs place wasnât far from Siennaâs apartment on 12th Avenue; both were in the old part of town with those old houses.
As Sienna arrived, Rosie opened the door with a big smile and pulled her in. âCome on in.â

Although Sienna and Rosie were colleagues, they had different roles. Sienna was a dancer, and Rosie was a costume assistant.
âSorry about the mess,â Rosie chuckled.
âNot at all,â Sienna said, shaking her head with a smile. âIâm the one troubling you. I should be the one apologizing.â
âLetâs keep it casual, then,â Rosie said with a hearty laugh. She had an easygoing nature, and without asking Sienna what happened, she cheerfully mess.â said, âStay as long as you like, as long as you donât mind the With a playful tone, she added, âBut, just to let you know, meals arenât included.â
âOkay,â Sienna said, feeling more at ease. âIâll handle the chores then.â
âYou got it,â Rosie smiled.
Just then, Siennaâs phone buzzed in her pocket with two messagesâone was from Cedric and the other from Josiah.
