Caught In His Embrace A Second Chance Romance
Chapter 37 Sienna stood frozen in place, her eyes glued to Josiah and Yvette, who were locked in an embrace that looked like they might be kissing.
Josiah was directly facing her, while Yvette had her back turned, completely unaware of Siennaâs presence.
Suddenly, Josiahâs expression shifted; his face drained of color, and he instinctively tightened his grip on Yvetteâs arm.
âSiennal What is she doing here? Josiah thought.
Sienna was the first to snap out of it and turned to run.
âWhy is she running? Am I same kind of monster? Jouah wondered.
He awkwardly pushed Yvene away, âYvette, you donât need to walk me out. Iâll handle it myselfâ
After saying that, he took off, quickly chasing after Sienna in the direction sheâd vanished.
âJosiahâ Yvette watched his retreating figure, clenching her fists anxiously. Is she running away so fast because I startled him she pondered, With his height and long legs, Josiah, familiar with the layout, quickly caught up to Sienna, cornering her in the fire escape. âWhere do you think youâre going?â
There was no place for Sienna to escape; her back hit the wall Josiah leaned against the wall, effectively trapping her âWhy are you running? Do I look like a ghost?â
You are a lot scarier than a ghost Sienna thought, trying her best to curl up, avoiding any contact with him. She clasped her hands together, pleading, Please let me go! I didnât mean to interrupt you!â
I have It wasnât her fault they couldnât keep their romance private. The spot they chose wasnât secluded at all. If it wasnât her, someone else would i walked by!
âInterrupt?â Josiahâs expression darkened. He narrowed his eyes, his voice low and threatening. âSiennal What ridiculous thoughts are going through your head?â
Yvette was his sisterâinâlaw, how could anyone think there was something more going on between them?
This wasnât the first time Sienna had made such an accusation. Not just herâmost of Jeiacrity seemed to misunderstand him. He doubted even half of them believed in his innocence, Heâd never explained himself. Because what was there to explain? His history with Yvette wouldnât simply disappear... but he always held is head high and didnât care about outside gossip.
But for some reason, Josiah found himself speaking âYvette and I are not what you think!â
འ༠Sienna looked confused. âWhat do you mean, not what I think?â
âSeriously, Sienna Josial snapped, his irritation flaring again. âAre you trying to push my buttons?â
Seeing his displeasure, Sienna bit her lip and carefully replied, âAre you trying to explain something to me?â
His silence answered her.
âNot necessaryâ Sienna responded in surprise, unable to grasp the situation. âI just your exâwife. Itâs old news. You and Yvette... as long as youâre clear about it, thatâs all that matters.â
Josial felt anger bubbling up, really to boil over but found himself at a loss for words. What was the point of explaining anything? It was completely pointless!
Sienna then added, âOr maybe you should explain things to Howardâ
âSeriously, Sienna? That one sentence reignited Josialâs fury. âAre you trying to get yourself killed?â
Sienna ducked under his arm and bolted. As she ran, she called back, âMaybe you should ask Miranda to help you out! This sort of thing happens in real life, you know!â

What had Yvetteâs expression meant when she had looked at him just now?
âMaybe I should consider finding a womanâ he mused.
A woman? Where would he even start? You couldnât just decide to find someone and have it happen right away. A few years back, he hadnât thought about it, even though Sienna was living abroad, they werenât even divorced. But now? Who was he supposed to find?
That night, without any plans to meet up with Thomas or Yosef Josiah decided to go to Maze by himself. The big booth directly facing the stage was still reserved for him, Henry, the manager, was overjoyed when he heard Josiah had arrived. He rushed over with a big smile, âMr. Flynn, youâre here!â

Henryâs heart raced with excitement. Just as I thought! Mr. Flynn came here for S But he still had to keep a professional front. âWell, Mr. Flynn, we have quite a few performers here. Which one are you asking about?â

âHaha, yes, yes!â Henry rubbed his hands together eagerly. âShe wonât perform until after the third act âReally?â Josh raised an eyebrow. âSo the timingâs all over the place?â
âExactly.â Henry quickly explained. It all depends on the lottery draw the girls didâ

Knowing Josish wasnât upâtoâdate, Henry elaborated on the details of the Dance Queen Competition and then grinned widely at him. âMr. Flynn. what do you think? Want to join in on the fun?
Join in on the fun! Josiah lifted an eyebrow: Henry knew how to sell it. âAlright,â Josiah was here for Silver Fox anyway, and he beckoned with a finger, âJust remember, no matter how much anyone bets. Iâm always ahead by 160 thousand dollars.â
Hearing this, Henry couldnât contain his excitement! He struggled to keep a straight face as his lips curled into a grin. âGreat! Mr. Flynn, Iâll thank her in advance for you!â
Then, he asked, âWhat kind of drink do you like, Mr. Flynn? This place is small so let me know in advance, and I have it ready for you.
Josiah glanced at him with a smirk; the old guy was trying to pocket some of his drink money. He waved dismissively. âLet her pick. Whatever she likes is fine.â
âGoti With such fantastic news, Henry dashed off to find Sienna. âSiennal Big news!â
âWhat is it so cheerful? Sienna was puzzled but smiled back.
âYouâve got a benefactor! Henry was practically bouncing with excitement, gesturing wildly. âThis benefactor said that whoever bets the highest theyâll go over dus by 160 dousand dollars!â
Now that was a benefactor! It was hard to say how much the final bids would be, but that extra 100 thousand dollars was jawâdropping. No wonder Henry said she didnât understand the world of the wealthy. It was definitely a spending spreet âGet ready!â Henry urged as he saw her still putting on makeup. âI wonât disturb you any longer. It wouldnât be right to show your face too early. No.
