Chapter 5: Weird talks
Hierarchy: Royalty's rules
3rd person POV
The assembly hall was packed with students, the A class students were up front cause that's were they belong while the poor underprivileged students stayed behind and far back.
When Royalty got to the assembly hall she went to meet the principal. "Hope you don't fear public speaking?" Mrs Smith asked Royalty with a chuckle then went up stage.
"Good morning students and welcome to another wonderful school session" Mrs Smith said but a student yelled 'We hate school'. Mrs Smith smiled then continued "Well, school isn't for everyone but here we are".
"With the course of events going on, I would like to welcome a new scholarship student Miss Royalty Meyers" Mrs Smith said and welcomed Royalty on stage.
No one clapped, they just gawked at her. " Umm, hi. I'm Royalty Meyers and I'm the new scholarship student" Royalty said with a smile. " I hope you will all welcome me in warmly and it seems like in the only student who passed the scholarship exams with high marks cause why was I the only one who got a scholarship this session" Royalty said then laughed.
No one seemed interested in what she had to say. " Umm,then I'll see you all around" Royalty said and got off the stage. " Tough crowd" Royalty muttered to herself then sat on her sit.
When Mrs Smith began to talk about the academic calendar, a group of students particularly the students who runs the school walked in. Everywhere became quiet as they all stared at them, they were known as The Elite group.
The elite group; a group of five students, people believed they walked in money because the school authorities have no say in their activities and they make everything go their way.
Sebastian Cortez, Vance Jackson, Melissa Park, Landon Kirby and Belle Vernon. This were the kids that ruled King Leonis Academy but it will soon change.
Royalty just looked at them weirdly, she wondered why those five demanded the attention of the whole school so she scoffed loudly and looked at the principal who was also quietly staring at the five students.
The boy beside her stared at her in disbelief, after a while Mrs Smith continued her speech then dismissed everyone. Evangeline walked up to Royalty with a big smile.
"Are u ready for the tour?" Evangeline asked. Royalty just looked at her then nodded. Evangeline then showed her around the whole school and told her about the classes she shouldn't enter cause her tie differentiated her.
"I have an irrelevant question" Royalty said as she stopped walking and looked at Evangeline. " Why do ties differentiate us?" Royalty asked. "Well scholarship students like yourself can not afford the schools tuition so they get a different tie while those who can gets this tie" Evangeline said as she showed off her tie.
"I'm not as rich as this kids, I'm just the vice principal's kid dats why I attend here." Evangeline said sadly and looked at the school halls with disdain.
Evangeline knew how rich students treated people like Royalty. She was treated the same way even if she had the golden stripped tie.
"Well this is your first class for the day, have fun and stay out of trouble" Evangeline said and bidded Royalty goodbye. Royalty entered the classroom and went to find a sit. She sat on the first empty sit she saw. "Look who we have here" Royalty heard and looked up to see one of the elite student in her front.
"You are the new scholarship student, well let me be the first to welcome you..... My name is Melissa but my friends call me Lisa and kids of your grade call me Melissa" Melissa said with a sly smile.
"You aren't the first to welcome me but thanks anyway" Royalty said and looked at Melissa. Behind Melissa was a girl who had brunette hair and a nice smile.
"Whatever...see you around" Melissa said and sashayed her way to her sit. The brunette hair girl waved at Royalty then walked timidly to her sit.
After a while the three guys in the elite group came in alongside the teacher. The class began.

"Seriously, you gave another kid scholarship after what happened to the last one" The vice principal Mr Cole asked Mrs Smith. "I had to, it wasn't my decision to make after all and besides Royalty is a smart kid" Mrs Smith said with frustration.
Mrs Smith was well aware of what happened to Martina but as always the kids rule the school.
Mr Cole left her office and went to his. "This isn't supposed to happen" he said to himself. Martina was a good kid who made a mistake of trusting now another student is here and no one knows what will happen next.
