Chapter 6: New friend
Hierarchy: Royalty's rules
3rd person POV
A week has gone by so far and no unnecessary drama happened. Royalty was stuck, she didn't know who Martina associated herself with that will want her dead.
It was a Sunday evening, Royalty was on her bed doing a school project, she had her earphones on so she didn't hear when Saul barged into her room.
Saul quietly watched her do her school work as she hummed to the song she was listening to. After a while Royalty sighed and looked up from her book, she jumped in freight when she saw Saul staring at her.
She removed the earphones and threw a pillow at him. "What? It's nice to watch you work" Saul said and went to sit beside her on bed. "It's creepy not nice" Royalty said and packed her book so she would keep it on her study table.
"How are you doing?" Saul asked as Royalty sat on the bed. "Awful, it's hard to get the truth when I don't know where to start from" Royalty said with a sigh.
Saul removed a strand of her hair and tucked behind her ear gently. "You will find a way Roro, I trust you." He said and gave her a hug.
Secrets are hidden under the carpet but it will be swept up soon.
Soon Monday morning came, Royalty was ready for school and went down to have her breakfast. Then as usual, Alexander drove her to the bus stop and she found her way to school.
She went to her locker to dispose the stuff she wouldn't need. As she was walking to her first class for the day, someone bumped into her. "I'm sorry really" The person said.
" It's ok" Royalty said and looked at the person's tie then face. The person was a boy, he had the same tie as hers and was in nerdy glasses.
"My name is Jayden Bartels" He said and brought his hand out for a handshake. "I'm Royalty" she introduced then shakes his hand. "I will see you around, maybe we can get lunch together?" Jayden said with a little smile.
"Sure, see you around" Royalty said and went to her class. Jayden isn't bad looking, he had dark hair that was reaching his shoulder, his glasses fit him perfectly, he was tall and his skin wasn't pale but we'll tanned. He wasn't that muscular but he had muscle.
Lunch rolled over quick, Jayden sat alone in the cafeteria but that changed when Royalty walked up to him and sat beside him. " Thanks for the invite Jay" Royalty said. " Nickname bases?, I think we are gonna be best friends" Jayden said with excitement.
"Best friends? I don't think so, but close friends sure" Royalty said and began to eat her sandwich. Jayden also began to eat. "I love your hair" Royalty said, which caught Jayden a little of guard.
Jayden only gets compliments from his mom and sometimes his little sister, so he was a little shocked on why the girl he just met complimented him.
Royalty giggled at his face then continued to eat her sandwich. The cafeteria doors banged open and everyone fell quiet as the Elite group walked in.
Sebastian always led in the front, his aura demanded respect but Royalty didn't believe that. He can't demand respect for something he didn't work for, the money was inherited but yet he acts all high and mighty.
Royalty scoffed again and continued eating, Jayden looked at her with a big smile on his face. He had never seen anyone who isn't afraid of getting in trouble with the Elite's.
After their lunch, Jayden showed Royalty his best spot in school. "So we are close friends?" Jayden asked and Royalty did a face, " You are actually my first male friend in life so yes, we are close friends" She said and sat on the bleachers.
"Thanks, I don't have friends in this school but here we are" He said and sat beside her. Jayden always had a smile on his face. He was a sweet boy with a nice heart.
"Gay or straight?" Royalty asked. "It depends, I actually think I'm bi" He said with thought. "What about you?" He asked then she shrugged. Royalty hasn't dated anyone in life.
"What does that mean?" Jayden asked a little confused. "It means I don't know, never dated anyone" Royalty said with honesty.
"That's sick" Jayden said and chuckled. They talked more before their next class and when school was over he offered to drive her home but she declined.
Her home isn't exactly what a scholarship student can afford but oh well.
