It was Huo Sikai’s turn to be surprised now.

Without giving the man a chance to react, Shi Beiyu dragged him towards the side of the bed. “Have a look at her. Is she okay?”

Huo Sikai was speechless.

Fever was just a small matter. Did Shi Beiyu have to make him come over in this heavy rain just for that? Did he seem like a suicide squad to Shi Beiyu?

Shi Beiyu nodded his head. “She stood in the rain today.”

Huo Sikai immediately looked at Shi Beiyu when he heard this and said, “What kind of boyfriend are you? Why would you let Little Siyin stand in the rain?”

Shi Beiyu glared at the man with his cold eyes. Huo Sikai raised his hand to rub his nose before letting out a soft cough. “Whatever. Just pretend I said nothing. I’ll prescribe her some medicine. Once she takes it, she’ll be jumping around like a child. You have my word.”

Shi Beiyu had no words.

Huo Sikai jotted down his prescription and had one of the servants rush out to get the medicine despite the rain.

Only after feeding Mu Siyin the medicine did Shi Beiyu finally feel assured.

Huo Sikai was sitting on the sofa next to them all along. As he noticed how caring and serious Shi Beiyu was for a woman, he thought the world was a fascinating place.
