Chapter 3

After we left the palace we decided to explore the kingdom. We ended up just walking around the streets of Othillia when we reached a park.

We decided to get some ice cream, I chose Strawberry, while Maddie chose Chocolate and Sophia chose Mint chocolate chip.

After we all received our ice cream we sat on a picnic bench. We sat there while Maddie and Sophia started talking about their thoughts so far about the kingdom.

I continued looking around while slightly listening to them until I received a message on my phone. When I opened it I was surprised to see who it was...

'Hey hope I am not disturbing you. I was wondering if you wanted to go out tomorrow morning?' - Alex

Seeing his message made my heart flutter for some reason and I ended up smiling at the message which did not go unnoticed by Sophia and Maddie.

"Who is that?" Maddie asks while trying to look at my phone.

"Some friend" I reply

"I don't think so" Sophia says while she eyes Maddie and the next thing I know Maddie reached out and grabbed my phone which wasn't so hard since she was right beside me. They both stand up and look at it together and I watch as their eyes widen.

"Wait! Alex as in Prince Alexander?!?" Sophia asks nearly shouting while I look around to see if anyone heard her.

"Yes, now quiet down, I don't need the whole world knowing" I reply as I grab my phone back from them.

The next thing I know is they are squealing which caused some stares from other people and all I can give them is an apologetic smile.

"When did he get your number?" Maddie asks

"After lunch, on our way out" I say as I take a bite of my ice cream.

"Amelia, listen to me. You have to go" Maddie says, looking straight at me.

"What? Don't we have any plans?" I ask as I look at Sophia as well.

"Screw our plans. You have to go, this is your chance to find your true love!" Sophia says as she squeals once more with excitement.

"We came here for a vacation not for me to find someone. I won't leave you hanging for some guy" I explain

"We don't even have any plans and you won't be leaving us, you will be doing us a huge favor if you go and meet him" Maddie says while Sophie eagerly nods beside her.

"You both don't have any plans of stopping, do you?" I ask as they both shook their heads 'no'.

"Nope" they both say with huge smiles on their faces.

"Alright, fine, I will go" I say it like I was forced but truth be told, I slightly wanted to go as well.

"Yay! We are going to go shopping" Sophia says as she stands up.

"Alright but let me reply first" I say and I send a quick message to him.

'Sure, I'd love to' - Amelia

I didn't have to wait long for another reply.

'I will pick you up at 8 if that's no trouble with you?' - Alex

'Sure, is there any dress code?' - Amelia

'No, just wear anything you want' - Alex

'Alright, see you tomorrow' - Amelia

After I messaged Alex we walked back to the car then started driving. We make our way to some shops nearby and I find something to wear for tomorrow.

After we went shopping it was starting to get late so we decided to go back to the hotel and order room service in Maddie's room.

.....A Few minutes Later.....

We already have our food. I chose the pasta, Sophia chose a Salad and Maddie chose a burger.

"Amelia, do you have your outfit for tomorrow?" Sophia asks and Maddie looks up awaiting my response.

"Yes" I say

"Mind sharing what you plan on wearing?" Maddie asks

"You will see tomorrow" I tell them while smiling. I know that they are desperate to see the outfit I have for tomorrow.

"Come on" they both say in unison.

"Nope" I say with a smile as we enjoy the rest of the night in Maddie's room.

.....The Next day.....

I woke up at seven and I took a quick shower, after I dried my hair and changed into my outfit for the day.

I chose to wear a blue and white striped shirt with jeans and a pair of white sneakers along with a black sling bag. I put my hair into a ponytail and put on my make-up (which is always light).

I make my way to Maddie and Sophia's room to show them my outfit before Alex arrives. They both approved it and after that I received a message from Alex asking what room I was in since I was in Sophia's room I told him I will meet him in the lobby.

I head downstairs and I spot him in a Grey shirt with denim jeans and a black cap to cover his face so people don't recognize him.

I make my way towards him and he notices me.

"You look beautiful" he says and I blush at the comment.

"Thank you, you look good as well" I tell him while smiling.

"Thanks, shall we?" He asks

I nod and we both make our way out where there is a black SUV waiting for us with a driver inside.

He opens the door for me and I say a quick thank you before getting in.

Once we were both in he removed his cap and he gave some directions to the driver. The whole ride was in silence until we made it to a cafe by the corner of a street.

Alex helps me down the car and we both enter and take a seat by the corner of the cafe to avoid being seen by others. We both ordered and I decided to go with a strawberries and banana pancake while Alex had a chocolate chip pancake.

"Do you have any hobbies?" Alex asks

"Does binge watching on Netflix count?" I ask as we both laugh.

After our laughter dies down we stay silent as we look at each other and I look away from him. Unfortunately I don't know what to say to break this uncomfortable silence between us.

Would it be right for me to ask him questions? He's a prince! Are you even allowed to question him? I contemplate what to do in my mind until he speaks.

"You're clearly holding back with all your questions. Let's pretend that I am not a prince and that we are just two friends hanging out, please?" he asks

"Okay...What's your hobby?" I ask him as he smiles.

"I have several but probably I would choose riding, we have some horses back in the palace and I would go riding at least once a week" he explains while smiling as I nod. He probably really loves riding.

"What about you, what do you do when you have free time? Aside from watching Netflix" he says with a chuckle.

"Well I used to play the piano when I was younger and I still lived with my parents but when I moved out, I didn't have the space in my apartment for a piano and I didn't have the time anymore"

Before we can say anything else our food comes and is placed on the table.

I take my first bite and this is the best pancake I have ever tasted. I don't think I'll be able to eat a pancake anywhere else again without thinking of this one.

"Oh my God! That is so good!" I say as I close my eyes while Alex just laughs at me and then I hear a camera click. My first thought was that a paparazzi found us until I opened my eyes and I saw Alex with his phone while he continued to laugh at my reaction.

"Delete that picture" I firmly say

"I rather not" he says with a smirk.

"Please"

"Nope"

"Please"

"No, I like it"

"What do you mean? I look horrible"

"No you don't, have a little more faith in yourself" he says before eating his.

I just rolled my eyes and we continued to talk about each other until we finished eating and Alex asked for the check.

When it came I tried to get it but he ended up getting it first.

"Hey! I was going to get it" I say

"Well you didn't so I will pay and besides I asked you out" he says while getting his wallet.

"Next time I am paying"

"Oh so we're having a next time?" He says with a smirk on his face.

"Maybe" I say as I look away from him. Truth be told, I did enjoy the company.

When we finished it was already 9:30, We decided to walk around since the weather was very lovely today.

When we looked at the time it was already 10 and Alex had some things to do so we got in the car and made our way back to the hotel I was staying at.

"I hope we can repeat this some time?" He says with his cap on as we stand in the hotel lobby.

"I'd love to" I tell him while smiling.

"Perhaps dinner for two tomorrow?" he asks

"I'll ask Sophia if we have any plans then I will inform you" I say as he nods

"Alright, Well I have to go, I will see you later right?" He asks as I nod and he makes his way out of the hotel lobby and I start to make my way up to my room.
