Chapter 4

Five minutes after Alex left, I entered my room and there were loud knocks immediately on the door.

I already knew who it was.

I opened the door and Maddie and Sophia rushed in my room.

"Spill!" Sophia says as she sat on the bed.

"Well we went to a cafe and we had breakfast" I say while smiling at the memory

"That is not all" Maddie says

"Yea we want the whole thing Amelia"

"Alright, fine he asked me out for dinner tomorrow" after I finished they both started squealing so loud and I wonder if anyone else heard it.

"What did you tell him?" Maddie asks after they both calmed down.

"I told him I will check with our schedule" I say

"Well then lucky for you, We have nothing planned for tomorrow except to just chill the whole day" Sophia says with a smile and in a weird tune that she uses whenever she is lying about something.

"The truth Sophia Reynolds" I look at her seriously and when I do that look they both know that I want the truth and I have a way of getting it.

"Alright, Well I am going to a Fashion show and Maddie has a date with Mark tomorrow evening as well"

"Oh okay"

"So...are you going?" Maddie asks

"I don't know yet"

"Come on, it will be fun" Sophia asssures me.

"Okay, I am going" I say and they both went back to squealing along with jumping.

..........A Few Hours Later..........

It is already 6 pm and it is time to get ready for dinner with Victoria, Edward and Alex.

I will also tell him tonight that we can go out for dinner tomorrow night.

I chose to wear a Navy Blue dress that reached above my knee with a gold belt and heels along with a matching clutch.

I put my hair into a bun leaving some strand out and I do my usual make-up.

Sophia wore a red dress and let her hair down while Maddie wore a green one with her hair in a half ponytail.

We make our way down and head towards the car.

..........A Few Minutes Later..........

We finally arrived and we all got out of the car to be greeted by Edward, Victoria and Alex.

"It is so good to see you all again" Victoria says with a smile as she hugs each of us.

"Same here" Sophia says as she hugs Victoria.

"Shall we head inside?" Edward asks while he offers Victoria a hand and we all nod our heads as she accepts and they both walk first.

"Go ahead" Alex tells Sophia and Maddie who nod their heads and quickly follow Victoria and Edward.

"So are you available tomorrow?" He asks as we follow them a bit behind from the rest.

"Yes I am" I say as I look up at him with a smile on my face

"Excellent" he says smiling down at me

We continue walking until we reached a Dining Hall and everyone starts to sit down in the same spots as last time.

The food is served and we all start to eat while the others talk, Alex and I end up just watching them all chat while every once in a while they asked us questions or our opinions about certain things.

After dessert the conversation was still the same and I got bored with nothing to do so I just tried my best to act like I am listening and not about to fall asleep.

I guess Alex noticed how bored I am and gestures outside as a way of asking me if I want to go out. I nod my head and then he starts to speak.

"Father, Mother I think Amelia needs some fresh air for a while mind if I accompany her?"

"Are you okay Amelia?" Victoria asks as I nod and I feel Sophia and Maddie staring at me. I ignore them as I try to not make any eye contact with them.

"Alright, go ahead" Edward says with that Alex and I get up and as we enter the hallway and the door closee he intertwines our hands as he leads us to the garden.

We take a seat on the garden bench with the fountain nearby and we both sit in silence for a few seconds with only the sound of the water from the fountain.

"Finally some peace and quiet" I say as I close my eyes amd I breath in the fresh air.

"I know it was getting quite boring in there" he says with a chuckle.

"I totally agree with that" I say as he smiles and puts an arm around me and I lean against him as we stare up at the stars in silence.

"You know I always used to stay out here at night and just watch the stars" Alex says as I glance at him and he continues to look up at the stars.

"I used to do the same but in my parents house" I say as I think back to those days when I was still a child and I didn't have much to do.

We sit in silence for a few more minutes until I start to sit up as Alex does the same.

"I am looking forward to tomorrow"

"Me too" I say as I turn to him and our lips our inches away from each other and we just stare into each others eyes.

He moves the curl from my hair and tucks it behind my ear as he places his hand on my cheek.

Something about him was very captivating and I quickly got lost in his eyes as we stared at each other.

The next thing I know is his lips are on mine. I was left in shock for a while as I shut my eyes and It felt so good.

It was wrong for us to be kissing, we aren't even together and we just met but it felt so right at the same time.

His lips remain on mine for a few seconds until we get disturbed by someone clearing their throat and we both immediately pull apart.

"Your Highness, I'm sorry for interrupting but Their Majesties request your presence in the King's office" a man says as Alex nods before turning back to me.

"Shall we?" Alex asks as he gets up from the bench.

"I better go back to Sophia and Maddie" I say as I get up from the bench as well.

"Is Ms. Reynolds and Ms. Martinez there?" Alex asks the man as he nods.

"Yes Your Highness along with Their Majesties" the man says

He nods and offers me a hand which I take and he puts his arm around my waist as we start to walk back in to the palace.

I try to steady my breathing but it seems rather difficult as I recall what just happened. All I can do is hope no one notices.

We follow the person to the office and the whole way I cannot stop thinking about the kiss.

When we arrived by the door to the office. Alex removes his hand from my waist and opens the door for us both. We enter and all eyes are looking at us.

"There you both are" Victoria says seated on a couch beside Edward.

"Alex, I was telling Madeline hear about the ball on Saturday and since she is a photographer. I was thinking about getting her for the ball." Edward says as Alex and I take a seat across.

"That would be a good idea" Alex says

"Madeline, job's yours" Edward says as Maddie smiles and I can tell she is internally jumpimg with happiness.

"Thank you so much" Maddie says with a huge smile on her face.

We talk with one another for a few minutes until Sophia speaks.

"We better be off now, I unfortunately have a shoot tomorrow" Sophia says

"Alright, by the way you girls are invited to the Ball on Saturday" Edward says as we thank him.

"Madeline perhaps we could meet, let's say Thursday to discuss the things for the ball?" Edward asks

"Of course" Maddie says as she nods.

We bid goodbye to everyone and we start to make our way to the car. Sophia leading the way followed by Maddie then me.

"Amelia!" A familliar voice calls out.

I turn around and see Alex running towards me. I stop as well as Maddie and Sophia.

"Go ahead" I tell them and surprisingly they follow and get in the car. They would probably be looking through the windows.

"I'll be seeing you tomorrow right?" He asks as I nod.

"I will pick you up at 7 tomorrow, be ready" he says as I nod and he kisses me on the cheek which makes me blush.

"I will see you tomorrow" I say as I turn away from him and I quickly make my way to the car.
