To The Palace

"You know why we are being called to the palace right?" asked Jana laying on Magnus' lap. They were sitting in one of the hills in Myrkovir. Arth was playing with the pack kids.

"Why?" asked Magnus.

"So that Baba can open your mind link to the family and ahmm- so he can introduce his son -in - laws to the packs," said Jana.

Magnus looked at him

"What is the mind link?" asked Magnus.

"Through mind link, you will be able to communicate with anyone in the family from anywhere," said Jana.

"Wow, that's a boon indeed," said Magnus.

Jana nodded.

They were all on way to the palace and Carles and Jana insisted on walking.

They saw the palace.

"Does it took glorious throughout the year?" asked Clement sounding genuinely curious.

"Its palace not a seasonal tourism destination," said Samuel.

Carles had been a bit tired for a couple of days now. Carles had a doubt as to what it was but he wanted to be sure before he told Samuel.

They reached the palace lands.

Magnus' eye was on Arth who was running ahead.

He could smell various packs and all were still in the shadows.

Carles fell unconscious when they reached the palace.

Samuel was shocked. He lifted Carles and walked in. The healer tended to him as Iker and Avadh also hovered over him.

The Healer smiled and nodded to Carles who was awake halfway through.

Carles blushed as he looked at Samuel who looked worried.

"Stop the frowning. Samuel, you are going to be a dad," said Carles.

Samuel sat down next to him, too shocked to respond initially. Carles bit his lip worried. Samuel held him closer and pecked on his forehead.

"We will be fine," he said.

Carles smiled and nodded.

"Yeah, we should be," he said smiling. Carles blushed as he thought that now he is carrying a mini Samuel in him.

Avadh and Iker were so happy for their son. Then they made sure that all were settled in well, before dinner. All came down for dinner. Apparently, a campfire dinner was organised. Except for Eka, all three from Myrkovir also came. Eka insisted that they all go.

Ili almost fell on the floor when he jumped down the stairs and Ahem caught him.

"I am sorry Luna- I" Ili blushed.

"Oh, my kid, don't be embarrassed. Trust me, I handled three kids on my own and Antony was the worst even though he is so prim now," snorted Ahem.

"I am not prim," said Antony as he came down.

Ili smiled at Ahem.

"I still can't believe how someone nice like you have such an asshole for a son. No offence" said Ili.

Ahem laughed. Cris who was nearby also laughed heartily at that.

"He takes after Zal," said Cris.

"That is uncalled for," said Zaleno throwing a cushion at him.

"They are one big nice family aren't they?" mumbled Clement to Samuel who gave said "Yes, And we are becoming a big family too," said Samuel.

Clement smiled and nodded.

Clement was chasing Arth and came to a halt before Avadh who looked at him.

"Ehm, Your Majesty, King - I was  just-"

Arth cackled as he ran off.

Avadh shook his head exasperated.

"You can call me Baba like rest of your brothers. Now, I suggest you join the fire soon or Iker is going to have all of our head," said Avadh.

Clement gulped and nodded. He got Arth who went without a fight knowing his granpe's anger.

"Don't scare him using my name you - Iker closed Arth's ears and said 'Prick'," said Iker and smiled at Clement and pecked Arth's forehead.

"Now off you both go. Let me get my husband out," said Iker and went and got Avadh's hand.

They were all around the fire when the rest of the family came back from the security posts. Clement was letting Arth play with his hair. Then the new arrivals started walking in. Clement's attention was on Arth and he did not notice at first as a smell reached him.

He froze and looked up.

Jeev was tired after the days work. It was taxing and he was looking forward to seeing his brothers and Arth and of course his brother in laws. He saw the fire and the family around it. He walked in the direction and a smell unlike any reached him. There was a source for it and Jeev felt his sense going into overdrive as he approached the fire. Then he saw the source. The man glowed in the light of the fire, his hair flying and Arth was pulling at it.  Then the man looked at him and he saw his brother in law taking Arth in his arms.

A silence fell as Clement got up. Jeev couldn't believe this. How was this even possible. He already had a mate who rejected him. This has to be a mistake.

"This can't be," said Jeev slowly.

"Wow, that is really welcoming," joked Clement.

Iker placed a hand on Clement's shoulder and looked at Samuel who nodded and held his brother while Avadh was holding Jeev whom Kanwar gently held at his side.

All looked at each other worried as the wolves fought to gain control.

Clement leaned against his brother. Jana wiped his face and then turned to Jeev who was tended to by Ivory.

They both were made to sit down.

"You okay?" asked Magnus to Clement.

Clement nodded.

Jeev was looking at Clement.

"Is it that I am not what you expected or is that you just went into shock?" asked Clement. Jeev did not answer. He shook his head and got up and ran off.

Clement's heart clenched.

His wolf wondering if it was rejection.

"He is not rejecting you, listen here," said Jana, running his hand gently through his hair like a parent would and told him Jeev's story.

"But I am sure about what I am feeling, He is my mate," said Clement, his heartbreaking as he thought about all the shit that went on in Jeev's life.

"I will talk to the royal priest and see how this happened. Now, let him calm down for a bit, yeah?" said Avadh to Clement who nodded.

"Viraat, Vansh, Arav come with me- I need to see the priest," said Avadh.

"But baba we will also- started Kanwar.

"Stay put," said Avadh and everyone could see why this man is the most powerful man on earth. Cris and Ethan nodded to him. Iker gave a small nod.

Then he was off with his brothers.

"I am worried for Jeev. He looks way too shocked," said Vansh.

"Yeah, But I am so happy knowing that he won't be alone," said Viraat.

Avadh looked at them and nodded.

"You know, I worry about each of our kids and Jeev was my biggest worry," said Avadh.

"We know. The moon goddess did give him her blessing," smiled Arav.

OKAY- I KNOW I AM MEAN. NOW WE WILL HAVE TWO MORE  CHAPTERS IN THIS BOOK- MAYBE THREE DUNNO. BUT YEAH, WE WILL CONTINUE THEIR STORY IN THE NEXT BOOK.
