"Given Opportunity"

Kain Fleire Alphis, our male lead of the story, with crimson hair and eyes like the golden sun. He was born to be envisioned as the perfect crown prince.

With high expectations surrounding him, considering he's the only child of royalty, he exceeded in everything, with education, class, and swordsmanship.

He was loved and portrayed as the best candidate of the throne, but through that, he was lonely for no one truly knows who he is and what he wants because everything was handed down to him without realizing he didn't want to do all of that.

But through all of the hardships, there was a person who've seen through it and felt the pain he experienced, and it was the female lead.

She was his only childhood friend and the person who truly sees him as him, but sadly they got separated at the age of 15 when the female lead was discovered to have holy power, and was considered as a saintess candidate.

He's hereee! As one of his biggest fans, i can't believe im seeing him in person!

Wait, since the female lead was a little bit late in the debutante ball, i can still request a dance from him, i gotta see him fast so i can get this amazing chance.

As i was about to walk away, Jullios pulled my right arm, asking. "Hey, where are you going?"

"Im leaving, what of it?"

"Leaving?, but we aren't done talking yet."

I sighed, "You mean you insulting me, no thank you."i pulled my arm.

"But i have no one to talk to other than you."

Hah, what a joke. He literally has countless of women looking at him.

"Please stop joking and just look around you. There's a lot of women whos been dying to interact with you."

He looked around, "Their boring compared to you, though."

I paused for a brief second and went back to reality, "Whatever... , im done here." I ignored what he told me.

Then, I walked away.

"Just wait a minute.", he pleaded.

I stopped for a moment and replied, "What?"

"Jullios, my name is Jullios Raidor, i just want to tell you that since i didn't properly introduced my self last time."

I know that already, but let's play along with him.

"Cynthia Vae Dalaris, there happy know?"

Once again, i turned back around and walked away without looking back.

When i was finally close to Kain, he was surrounded by a lot of people. As expected, he's also quite popular. I kept circuling around, trying to find a way to communicate with him.

Come onnn we're wasting time here, The female lead is gonna arrive soon, so please, please just let me dance with him once.

I forced my self, to enter the crowd, and it was a struggle. Suddenly, i tripped myself from someone's feet, and at that point, a man caught me when i was about to fall.

As i was looking up, I wanted to thank him.

He said, "Your grace, are you alright?"

"Ah yes, im perfectly fine, thank you for..."

When i saw who the guy really was, it was kain himself who catched me, "Oh my, i am very sorry your highness for such a rude display of behavior, but i am truly grateful that you saved me."

He smiled fakingly so his image as a good person wouldn't be destroyed, "It's fine. We make mistakes your grace."

There it is, his forced smile. If i wasn't a reader, i wouldn't be aware of it since he acts so professionally.

But i am fine with it since we're not gonna be interacting much in the future, so i want to take this opportunity to say.

I bowed, "In regards to all of that, may I please request to have a dance with his highness?"
