Chapter 34

31. Eyes

The Emergence Of The Alpha Twins ( UNDER REVISING )

"What does it mean whenever someone's eyes flash orange?" I ask Ernest, since if I wanted to get some thoughtful answers, I'd ask him. He cocked his head, and his eyes flashed red, but then he started laughing.

"There is no such thing as someone's eyes flashing orange! You sound silly! The only time that happened is... there's two options. The person who's eyes ' flashed orange ' can be turning you and that person into Alphas - trying to at least. Or...if they are pregnant...Gabby's pregnant right?"

"Duh. You got me a gift."

"Oh, right...then, um... It's extremely rare so I doubt this is happening to her, but...uh...she - the - um -."

"Tell me already goddammit!" I shout, and he nods, playing with his fingers.

"It could mean that the fetuses inside her body, the twins...are eating her alive...slowly...very....slowly..." I raise my eyebrows, shaking my head as I start laughing.

"That's impossible! Out of everyone here, she's the one infected? And that's impossible, how the hell does a prenatal human - twins - that aren't even full humans or pups yet, eat alive their mother? That is retarded!"

"I know! But...but did they flash from yellow, to orange, then to red...but slowly fade away back into the yellow?" When he asked this my heart dropped. That's exactly what happened to her eyes.

"No."

"You're lying."

"How is it fucking possible?!" I scream, grabbing his shirt collar as I try yanking him forward, but he stays rock still.

"When you...came inside of Gabby, you were still human right?"

"Yes, but-."

"Then that means your human sperm and her werewolf eggs possibly created a...rare hybrid. But, this has only happened once in all existence of the werewolf's, and it ended up...uh..."

"What."

"When it was born it ended up eating the mother, and it tried eating other Werewolves... So it had to be killed... The woman was a werewolf, and the father was a human that ran off..."

I shove my hands in my hair, tugging on the roots as I imagined twins eating Gabby alive. And she's clueless... I just can't see it. She's only been pregnant for five weeks. This is ridiculous!

"Do I have to kill my flesh and blood on the day they are born? I might be ruthless, but I'm not ruthless enough to kill my firsts." I shake my head, and Ernest gives me a sympathetic smile.

"I might be wrong. But if I'm not...you know that it wasn't your fault-."

"Oh I know. It's Gabby's fault-."

"It's not her fault either! Like I said, it is very rare. So it's unlikely. I don't know the symptoms so - why are you talking to me!? Go ask her how she feels and whatever you did last time, do again." Ernest stands, patting my back as he leaves me sitting alone.

What am I supposed to do? Ask her does it feel like someone is eating her out - no that's inappropriate. Does she feel sick - duh she's pregnant. Is -

"What's going on in that head of yours? I could barely make out what you were saying. Again." I turn around in shock, seeing Gabby as she plops down on my lap. She goes off to the side, throwing her legs over as she wrapped her arms around my waist, snuggling into me.

"Nothing..."

"It has to be something. You're lying, your heart." She pats my chest and I nod awkwardly.

"So...how are you feeling...?"

Gabby shrugged, fidgeting as I rested my hand on her lump.

"Nauseous. The usual. I don't know what you would expect. I mean, I did cough up some blood, but it was nothing."

I gripped her chin, looking in her eyes as I can feel her become nervous and excited.

It happened so fast I almost missed it. Her eyes flashed yellow, and quickly faded to orange and red. I almost missed the orange, but once her eyes went back to normal she coughed.

"Coughing up blood isn't normal in a pregnancy. That could mean lots of things."

"Like what?" She asks, her heart beat increasing as she started panicking. Right now instead of assuming I need to just calm down, not  worry her even though this may all just be assumptions.

"Nothing. When my mom was pregnant she coughed up blood, it's fine. Don't worry." Truly my mom coughed up some spaghetti my father made, because he sucked at cooking and couldn't do it to save his life.

"Oh? Then it's really fine. You aren't saying that to make me feel better?"

"Of course." I lied again, and it came out so smoothly.

She smiled, making me feel even worse for lying.

"Well. I gotta do something." I gently pushed her onto the other side of me, standing as I was going to go to my room. I have to look this stuff up.

I don't believe some type of hybrid werewolf is possible. I've heard humans do goat hybrids and wolf hybrids, making them a wolfdog they called it. But that was a normal animal that couldn't change human whenever it wanted. And humans made those animals with their hands and brains, almost science. But this, this is a matter of me making her sick because of my...human semen?

This is ridiculous - again. Why did this have to happen to me? Come on, I bet there is people in here part human and part werewolf - like Lorenzo! But he's just crazy, but I'm one to talk. He may have gotten that from our father. But still, it's not fair.

After Renee fell down the stairs when she was pregnant. Now, it's this. I didn't do anything to deserve this...! Maybe I did! Maybe this is payback from killing all these Werewolves. But I don't want it affecting my firsts. They did nothing to deserve being hybrids or whatever they are! And Gabby doesn't deserve to be eaten alive by her firsts as well.

I grab my laptop as I go on Safari, typing in wolf hybrids. And I wasn't shocked to see the ' wolfdogs ' I was talking about. What am I doing...of course they won't have anything for this shit. I scroll down, still nothing. But then I press the last page, and I see one thing on the top. Of course it'd be last. People these days only look at the first or second page then give up. Gotta be smart about it.

They'll always place the impossible or rather unbelievable shit in the back.

I clicked on it, coming on a page with a picture of a little boy, but he didn't look normal at all. He was on all fours, eyes a blinding white as they glared at the screen. He had blood around his mouth as his mouth was full of sharp teeth of a werewolf. And his feet were of a werewolf and so were his hands.

The picture was black and white and obviously old. So it looked more creepy as you saw in the corner a woman cuddling onto another one that looked like the boy. Except that one was nibbling on that woman's - mother I'm guessing - fingers. And she seemed to have been protecting that one, while the other one was trying to protect her and his brother.

I scrolled down, seeing the story dated back to the 1800's, no wonder it looks blurry and hideous. The woman was a werewolf and the father was killed by the boy. That's where the blood comes from. It read:

The boy seems to not be fully human. His hands and feet are not one of a human like his mother or his fathers corpse. The boy seemed to be eating the flesh of his father, flesh and blood, not faltering in the slightest. The other boy who seems to be his twin brother, clings to his mother, while this one fights to protect his mother.

Or is it to protect his food?

See more on the next page.

I was already terrified enough and it didn't help that these boys were twins. Just like Gabby's. And worse was when it said is the boy protecting the mother or its food. Like the fuck.

I close my laptop, not in the mood to read the rest.

I'll just have to keep an eye out for anything suspicious. It's obvious that this happened only once - once of the ones they've found. But who knows, maybe there's more hybrids out there...that hopefully don't look like that.

All I need to do is watch Gabby. I need to make sure this is nothing and that it's all my imagination. I won't tell her anything, that'll just add stress, and I'm not in the mood for that. Let's...let's just see what happens...
