chapter 13

Tatina POV

I grab my phone. It's 1120. Jayne will be here to get me in 40 minutes. I

have not even got up yet. Mr. Craig is no longer in my bed. He

snuggled up to me all night. I am not sure when he left but I know he

slept peacefully with me all night.

I get out of the bed and grab some clothes out of the closet. I dash for

the bathroom to get ready. I turn on the shower and quickly get hop in.

I wash my hair and grab the strawberry body wash. I need to get ready

quickly.

I jump out and throw a towel on my head while I dress. I grab some

makeup and try to make myself up. I really do not like makeup but here

goes nothing. At least I don't look like a painted-up hooker this time.

I throw on my clothes and give my hair a good drying with the towel. I

don't have time to dry it completely I grab a hair tie and pin it up

neatly. I grab some shoes out of the closet and slip into them.

I rush down the stairs to wait on Jayne. I run into Lila. "Is Jayne here

yet?" I ask.

"She is in the study with Mr. Craig," Lila Says.

"Okay. I will wait for her here. I don't want to disturb them,” I say.

"You and Jayne should spend the night in the city. I will suggest it to

Mr. Craig,” Lila says.

"That sounds great,” I say.

Lila pov

This is too easy. If Jayne keeps her in the city I can get the three new

breeders ready and sold before she comes back. Mr. Craig just had to

become obsessed with her so quickly. Maybe he will tire of her quickly

before it's too late to breed her

I hurry down the hall to the study. I knock on the door. "Jayne. Mr.

Craig," I say through the door.

"Come in," Jayne says.

"Tatina is up and ready. I suggested to her that Jayne and her stay in

the city tonight. We are having that party that might be extremely

overwhelming to her. Plus vampires running everywhere," I say.

Jayne nods and so does Mr. Craig.

"I think it's a great idea. What do you think Jayne?" Mr. Craig says.

"Wonderful. I will make us a reservation,” Jayne says.

"No need. I will have Lila call the Bourbon Palace Hotel and make the

reservation. I can have one of the guys drive you two in and pick you

up in say two nights. You want to stay two nights?" Mr. Craig says.

"That sounds wonderful. I don't have an auction for four days. It would

be great to relax,” Jayne says,

"Why not stay three then," I suggest.

"Are you sure?” Jayne asks.

"That would be great for Tatina. You could take her to eat. You girls

could walk around the quarter. She would love it," Mr. Craig says.

"I will go make the arrangements and tell Tatina to pack a bag for a few

days," I say.

I go back to tell Tatina. This is perfect. It gives me time to get the girls

ready without confining them to the basement. I don't have to keep

Tatina locked in her room during the auction. She will have to know

eventually but not this week. I guess I should let him enjoy her for a

while then I will tell her myself.

"Tatina go pack a bag for three nights. I have to call the hotel. Jayne will

be out in a minute. The two of you are staying in a hotel on Bourbon

Street for a few days. She is going to show you the city and take you

shopping,” I say.

Tatina obeys. She runs straight up to her room to pack while I call the

hotel. Shit. I think I hear a car. He cannot be here with the girls already. I

run out the door and motion for him to leave. I grab my phone and text

him.

*Come back in an hour.*

I cannot have her seeing all of this just yet. I finish up with the hotel

and go to let Mr. Craig and Jayne know. I have to get them out of the

house now.
