Serenity ate, wondering about Lucas ‘s purpose. What was he trying to do? Did he really buy her a meal to thank her?

“Ms. Lewis, are you Zeke’s ex-girlfriend?” Lucas suddenly asked halfway through the meal.

Serenity’s hands froze suddenly. She lowered her head and answered with a soft voice. Sure enough, someone like Lucas would have investigated her background before having a meal with her.

“Did you break up with him because of the car accident?” he asked.

“Yes, so what?” Serenity looked up and asked in reply. “Mr. Gomez, I got into an accident and killed Jackson Valor’s fiancee. Who would dare to date me in Solaria?”

“I would,” Lucas said.

Serenity was shocked and looked at Lucas with a face full of surprise. Her mind suddenly went blank at his reply.

“Well, do you want to try dating me?” he asked.

Hearing that, Serenity did not feel anything romantic in his advances. Instead, she felt troubled. Lucas was speaking to her with such a cold and indifferent expression, almost as if she was just an object to him-an object he had his eyes on.

“I heard Mr. Gomez is dating a new girlfriend recently. Serenity said. She heard about this gossip at the Sanitation Office earlier in the day.

“Yeah, I’m dating someone. If you’re going to date me, I break up with her,” Lucas said seriously.

What a joke! Serenity suddenly felt this was completely ridiculous. Lucas seemed really casual about dating.

“Why?” Serenity could not understand. Her appearance was considerably good back then, but she had changed after three years in prison. Besides, she worked in harsh conditions and did not take care of her appearance. There was nothing great about her looks.

“You have a nice face. I like it,” Lucas said

“Face?” Serenity touched her face. She did not think her face was better than the actresses in the entertainment industry. Besides, many beautiful actresses were more than willing to be his girlfriends.

“Especially your eyes,” Lucas continued, “Your eyes are beautiful, but your gaze seems bitter and heavy.

Lucas spoke and kept his eyes on Serenity the whole time. “What do you think? Do you want to date me?”

Lucas seemed casual, but his gaze was so overwhelming, seeing through her, and it eventually made her breathless.
