On the way back, Serenity suddenly asked, “Jack, do you know Zeke Shaw?”

“The CEO of the Shaw Group?” he asked.

“So you do know him. Yes, the guy who’s been in the news a lot lately and the main character of the

marriage between the Shaw family and the Hall family. He’s also…” She suddenly stopped. After a moment of hesitation, she added, “He’s also my ex-boyfriend.”

Jackson also stopped in his tracks and stared quietly at Serenity.

Maybe she had been bottling up her emotions for too long, so she could not help but pour them all out now. “Isn’t it unbelievable? Someone like me actually used to be that guy’s girlfriend.”

out of reach for me.”

Jack’s eyebrows furrowed slightly, as if he did not like those words.

“See that advertisement?” she asked while pointing at a large 3D projection on a wall not far away. Zeke Shaw bought that advertisement for Jenny Hall. The ad slogan is “I’ve waited 99 lifetimes for a

lifetime with you.” Isn’t that romantic? It shows that, even if you love someone now, it’s not that hard to fall in love with another person in the future.”

The Shaw family was displaying this advertisement in many major shopping malls across Solaria to promote the upcoming marriage between the Shaw family and the Hall family. The media had been praising the advertisement as being very romantic. Some were even calling Jenny Hall the happiest woman in the world.

It had garnered a lot of attention.

Jackson stared at the woman in front of him. Her face was expressionless, as if her heart had long been numb to emotions and nothing could faze her now.
