“They’re fine can remove the bandages in two days,” answered Serenity.

“What do you plan to do after this?” Xyla asked with concern.

“Maybe I’ll work as a delivery rider,” replied Serenity.

“That’s hard work,” Xyla sighed. She would have to run around a lot. It was physically more exhausting than sweeping the

“At the sanitation office,” she answered.

“The driver said you adamantly refused to let him drive you and took the bus instead?” he asked.

“I’m not used to being driven around,” she replied.

“I’m glad you’re back. The driver said he didn’t get a clear view of what bus you got on, so if you had come back a quarter of an hour later, I would have searched the whole city for you,” Jackson said casually, as if it was just an everyday conversation
