Godfrey’s face turned ugly at that, “Boyfriend? You have a boyfriend?!”

“Y-yeah…” Lisa responded, feeling guilty. No matter how strange and awkward Godfrey had been, it was her fault in this case.

Godfrey trembled in a fury, his face beet red as he cursed at her. “I kindly came to have a blind date with you, but you’re actually taken! That’s too much! You must give me an explanation! Are you playing games with me?!”

Godfrey cursed and stepped forward, wanting to grab Lisa’s collar. Lisa could barely avoid Godfrey, but fortunately, a hand had already intercepted and stopped him.

“Who said you could touch her?” Terry warned him icily.

“What? Do you want to fight?” Furious, Godfrey chided, “You’d better be careful with a woman like this. She secretly came to a blind date without your knowledge today. Who knows what will happen tomorrow? She’ll be secretly sleeping with someone the next day. She’s just obedient by appearance, but she probably has lots of shady deals in the dark.”

Godfrey’s remarks were getting harsher and demeaning. Fueled with anger, Lisa rolled her sleeves and wanted to beat him. The next second, a loud slap rang out, but it was not her doing.

Lisa stared blankly at Terry, who was shaking his hands. He had struck the man before she could.

“Did you just hit me? How dare you?!” Godfrey glowered at Terry in a fury.

“Trust me. If you dare to say another word about her again, I swear all your teeth will be gone,” Terry spoke, his voice cold.

Godfrey trembled for a second, a shiver of fear suddenly sped up his spine. He tried to defend himself and began to say something, but his words got caught in his throat. He could not even make a sound.

Terry then dragged Lisa away with a sullen face.

Lisa was still a little overwhelmed. She followed Terry along in a daze, but Terry’s pace quickly picked up. Eventually, she had to trot to keep up with him.

“Hey, slow down,” Lisa called out. If Terry was not holding her hand, she would have stopped in her tracks.

Terry suddenly stopped walking without any warning, and Lisa bumped unceremoniously into his back.

‘That hurt!’ Lisa held her nose in pain. It felt as if she had just run into an iron plate.

“If you want to stop, at least give me a heads-up,” she muttered a complaint.
