Shortly after, the elevator arrived, and the person walking out of it just happened to be Lisa’s neighbor. As soon as the neighbor saw her, she immediately greeted her, “Oh, you’re home, Lisa! And this must be your boyfriend!”

As the neighbor spoke, her eyes wandered toward Terry.

Lisa was still in shock and did not know how to react, but Terry quickly answered the neighbor, “Yes, you’re right. I’m Lisa’s boyfriend”

“Ah, looks like it won’t be long before I get invited to your wedding!”

The neighbor stalled before she hastily abled, ““Very well, then! Hurry up and take your boyfriend in, Lisa! Your mother’s he nagging about it all day. She just can’t wait to meet your boyfriend!”

Lisa broke out into a sweat. Now she knew exactly why her neighbor thought Terry was her boyfriend the moment she saw him–her mother must have been announcing it to the world the whole day!

They entered the elevator, and Lisa glanced at Terry only to see him staring at her with a half–smile on his face. She could not stop herself from blushing but then hesitated for a moment as she suddenly remembered that she still had something to tell

him.

“Erlink. My parents might be a little too excited because I’ve never had a boyfriend before. Just don’t worry about it and say a few words to them, then I’ll find an excuse to get you out of here”

“What?” He raised his eyebrows and then bent down toward her with his deep black eyes fixed on her. “You’ve never had a boyfriend before?”

Lisa’s heart skipped a brat. She had always had a weakness for handsome mens, and seeing such a dashing face so close to her could easily make her love her composure!

She chuckled awkwardly and replied, “Well, I’ve always been busy with work, so I never had the time to find myself a boyfriend”

“Really?” he asked. “I would’ve been much happier if you’d told me that you’d never been able to forget me, that’s why you’ve never found another guy.”

Lisa almost choked on her saliva.

Never been able to forget him? Was that.. the true reason after all?

Well, she had to admit that sometimes, she would indeed reminisce about the past and regard their encounter as a beautiful arudent.

The elevator reached Lisa’s floor and they walked out. She led Terry to the door to her house and then fished out the key and opened the door.

As soon as the door swung open, the sight of her parents all dressed up almost blinded her. Her dad was clad in the suit that h only ever wore when his picture would be taken, and her mom was wearing brand–new clothes from head to toe. She had even put making on and had a new hairdo!

Lisa could tell at a glance that her mom had had her hair done in the nearby salon. She now had a sneaking suspicion that all the women in the neighborhood must live barnest of her bringing her boyfriend home today! After all, the owner of the hair was the infamous pussiper of the neighborhood! If she beard about something, then the whole world would soon bear

about it too!

La glanced at her parents with some embarrassment and then saw that they were both staring at Terry with supelse written all over their faces. Meanwhile, Terry was starcling there very calmly, saviningly caffected by anything at all.

Lisa then announced, “Thad, Mon, this is Terry White. He’s, uh.. my boyfriend”

It took a special amount of effort for her to squeeze the last two words out of her mouth.

Nevertheless, Terry merely greeted her parents politely, “Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Quest. Pleasure to meet you.”
