Obsessive CEO’s Sinful Wife by Lil’ Bamboo
Chapter 374
âHave you forgotten what happened to your father in the end?â asked Zack, back to singing his old tune.
âIâll never forget about that,â replied Jackson, âand as Iâve told you before, I will never repeat my fatherâs mistakes.â
âIf thatâs true,â his grandpa snapped angrily, âYou should kick that woman out of Valor Residence now and never let her back into your life ever again!â
âIâm afraid I canât do that,â said Jackson, his eyes dark and gloomy. The second he heard what his grandpa said, his heart tightened suddenly, as if he instinctively rejected the notion right away, so much so that he was not even willing to think
about it
âYouâ Zack almost choked on his breath as he glared at his grandson.
âIâll never repeat the same mistake my father made, Grandpa, so trust me when I say that Iâll have everything under control. Iâll make sure that Serenity gets used to my existence to the point where she wonât be able to leave me.â
Jackson then smiled, but there was no mirth in his eyes, only a look of warning as he added, âSo I hope that you wonât interfere with my affairs, Grandpa. If you meddle too much into my business, I might be forced to restrict your movements.â
Zackâs face flushed red instantly. He broke out into a coughing fit, and even when the coughing finally stopped, it was obvious that he was furious with his grandson.
âAre you threatening me?â he asked.
âNo, Iâm merely reminding you.â
Jackson fixed his eyes on his grandpaâs and added, âIf anything bad happens to her, Iâll go up against you with no holds barred!â
Zack looked into his grandsonâs eyes with his muddled but still very sharp gaze, and he knew that Jackson was not joking.
âWhatâs so special about that woman?!â He asked, completely befuddled, âWhat is it about her that has turned you into a love-
crazed idiot?â
He had sent people to bring Serenity here so that he could see her. That woman was extremely average-looking, nothing at all like the ideal granddaughter-in-law he would like to have.
âBecause sheâs the first woman to let me call her Sis,â answered Jackson with a smile. Because Serenity had once to from that day onward, they could always rely on each other.
told him that
She was the woman who had finally given him a feeling of being at home with someone after all these years. Every tinse he called her âSis, it truly felt like they were a real family.
And he would do anything to hold onto this feeling.
Zack looked at his grandson in disbelief, as if what Jackson had just said was comically laughable. He was sure that Jackson was only joking and dodging the question.
Jackson blushed slightly and said, âYou wouldnât understand, Grandpa.â
âYouâll regret it sooner or later!â Zack barked bitterly.
Jackson smiled gently and replied, âThen I hope youâll live at least a few more years, Grandpa, so you can see if Iâm really going to regret it one day.â
âFine.â Zack snapped furiously. âFine! Iâll wait until the day you regret it all!â
That afternoon, Serenity walked out of the restaurant with the dishes she had already prepared as well as the candles and Incense as she headed toward her motherâs grave.
When her mother died, her father had not even bought a tomb in the cemetery for her. Instead, she was simply buried in a

graveyard in a village where one of her fatherâs friends lived merely because it was much cheaper that way.
Back then, all her father had had to do was give the village chief some cigarettes, and it would all be settled. This solution was certainly much cheaper than buying a tomb in a cemetery.
Afterward, Serenity had considered moving her motherâs grave to a more suitable place someday, especially since the grave was only on a small plot of land near a hill next to the small village.
