How could Lisa ever forget it when Terry had flat out warned her, “You’re my girlfriend now, so if I ever find out that you got more intimate with that Finn Gordon guy than a normal fan should be with their idol, I’ll make sure he gets blacklisted in the entertainment industry so you’d never even have a chance to see him on screen again!”

If anyone else had said that, she would have laughed in their face, but considering that it was Terry White… Lisa thought of how petty and begrudging that man could be and started to fear that he might actually do such a horrendous thing.

That was why she thought it best to forget about getting Finn Gordon’s number. She would just take a picture with him, get his autograph and some more of his posters, and be content with it.

Not long afterward, a young woman sprinted toward them and said, “Hello, Miss Lewis.”

Serenity recognized her to be Finn Gordon’s assistant, the one she had seen standing beside him the last time she had met him.

“Hello, replied Serenity.

“Please follow me,” the young woman said before leading Serenity and Lisa through a secret passage meant for staff members only.

But to Serenity’s surprise, they had not gotten very far when they bumped into Aria Lewis, whose assistant was trailing behind her, and the two seemed to be in the middle of some sort of discussion,

Serenity intended to pretend that she did not know Aria and wanted to just walk past her, but as soon as Aria saw her, she smiled faintly and said, “Isn’t that you, Sis? What a coincidence! What are you doing here?”

Serenity’s eyes narrowed with suspicion. Aria never liked to acknowledge the fact that they were sisters when she was in public since she found it humiliating that Serenity used to be in prison. So, what exactly was she planning to do now?

Even the young assistant beside Serenity who had been leading their way now looked surprised. She obviously never thought that Aria Lewis and Serenity Lewis were, in fact, sisters.

“But this is the staff area,” Aria observed. She then recognized the young woman to be Finn Gordon’s assistant, so she added, “If you managed to get in here. then could it be that you know Finn Gordon personally?”

“Miss Lewis and her friend would like to meet Mr. Gordon to take a picture with him and get his autograph,” the assistant hastily explained.

The way Aria put it made it sound like Serenity and Finn Gordon were closer than they actually were, and since they were pretty close to the public entry where a huge throng of Finn Gordon fans were gathered, some might misunderstand Aria’s words and spread rumors about them, thus affecting Finn Gordon’s squeaky clean image.

“Oh,” Aria smiled. “Is that so? If you and Lisa want to meet Mr. Gordon, you should’ve just told me! I could take you guys to him myself! There’s no need to bother his assistant at all!”

As she spoke, she walked up to Serenity with a fake sweet expression on her face and cordially took Serenity’s arm as if she was going to lead her to Finn Gordon’s lounge herself.

“Let go of me,” Serenity told her in a cold voice. “I don’t care what you’re trying to do right now, but I have no desire to play along with you.”

“Are you sure?” Aria smiled and added in a voice so soft that only the two of them could hear it, “Don’t forget that you’re asking for it yourself, so don’t regret it later.”

As soon as she had finished speaking, she abruptly let go of Serenity’s arm and then frantically staggered backward, almost as if someone had just showed her away.
