“You’re very light,” replied Jackson. He was telling the truth. Although Serenity was over 160 cm tall, Jackson estimated that she weighed no more than 45 kg. He would make sure to feed her well from now on.

She leaned her face against his back. It felt very warm. When was the last time she had been carried like this? She could onl remember her mother carrying her like this when she was a child.

However, the memory was very fuzzy because it was so long ago.

“Jack, you’re so nice,” she murmured.

“Are you going to say that I’m a nice guy again?” he asked.

“What I’m trying to say is, you’re a really nice little brother. I’m so lucky to have a little brother like you,” she said.

Little brother… His eyes flickered slightly.

When this game started, wasn’t he the one who chose to stay by her side as a younger brother? She asked him to call her Sis.

Jackson carried Serenity to the hospital’s main entrance. Not long after, Lisa drove over.

“Don’t you look down on the Shaw family,” Lisa may dislike them, but she still had to explain the truth to him, “The Shaw family has a deep foundation and a lot of connections in Solaria. The Shaw Group belongs to that family, as well as various

other companies.”

Lisa thought Jack might not know about the Shaw family’s background since he was a homeless man, so she gave him a quick explanation.

She then added, “Joy Shaw knows that even if we sue her, she can hire the best lawyers, so the worst that can happen to her is that she has to pay compensation. That’s why she’s not scared at all!”

“Then we won’t sue her,” said Jackson.

“No way! We must make them compensate Serenity for medical expenses and lost salary. Even if the money is nothing to them, we can’t let them get away scot-free,” said Lisa.

“They won’t. Whoever hurts Sis will pay the price,” Jackson said coldly.

In that instant, a touch of hostility crept into his eyes.

Lisa, who was driving, did not see it, but Serenity, who was sitting in the back seat with him, saw it
