“Looks like he’s losing the bet, then,” said Lucas as the comer of his eye caught a glimpse of a person who was looking around in the banquet hall. “There she is. Should I introduce you to her?“!

Jackson followed after Locas” gaze. When he saw who it was, the corners of his lips curled up. “Arla Lewis?”

“You know her?” Lucas seemed a bit surprised. He could not imagine how Arla and Jackson could have met before.

“Sort of,” Jackson said vaguely. “If you care about that new girlfriend of yours, make sure she doesn’t cause any trouble. Otherwise, even you might not be able to protect her.”

“She offended you before?” Lucas raised his eyebrows slightly.

“If she did, do you think she would still be standing here right now?” asked Jackson. “But hopefully she’s smart enough not to do it in the future.”

Jackson turned around and walked away. Aria finally saw Lucas and quickly came over.

“Lucas!” She called out to him.

Upon entering the banquet hall, she saw many public figures that she had only seen on TV before. There were also a lot of A- list celebrities present. Being a C–list celebrity, she could not believe that she was actually attending this kind of party.

She knew that all this was possible thanks to Lucas Gomez.

“You should have called me when you arrived. I would have gone to the door to get you in,” said Lucas as he helped Aria tidy up a few strands of hair that had fallen to the side of her cheek.

“Easily done. I’ll arrange a role in a TV series for you as well as a few variety show appearances. You can pick a script that you like,” Lucas said casually, like it was no big deal.

But Arta was left speechless. She could hardly believe her ears. She tried really hard to appear on variety shows before but she could not even get a single chance, let alone a few!

“What kind of role.. are we talking about?” she asked in disbelief.

“The female lead, of course. You don’t like it?”

“No, I… I’d like that a lot,” Aria was so shocked by her good fortune that she did not know what to say.

“Lucas… Why are you being so nice to me?” Aria asked softly.

Lucas smiled and brushed Aria’s lips graily with his finger.

Aria immediately blushed. There were many people around!

But she did not pash his hand away

“Because your lips are beautiful. I really like them,” he said, almost in a whisper.
