Chapter 116
The Beginning Of All Sins
Tylerâs response was calm as he handed over the prescribed medication. After a brief up, âWeâll need a marriage certificate for IVF.â
pause, he spoke Naomi was stunned.
Meeting her gaze, Tyler continued, âIVF might not work on the first try. I could talk to Olivia about this, but sheâs only in her twenties. We canât predict the risks she might face. You wouldnât want her to experience those, right?â
Naomi hadnât fully considered these aspects. âI didnât know all of that,â she admitted awkwardly.
Tyler left the ward with a somber expression. His assistant murmured something to him, but he walked away without acknowledging it.
Olivia was oblivious to Naomiâs situation. She had spent the entire day at school and then in the lab until late at night. Upon returning to Sandalwood Palace, she headed straight to her room, avoiding any common areas.
Tyler returned home late that night. The maid informed him, âMiss Olivia has already gone to bed.â
Without a word, Tyler went to his room.
This had become their routine for the past two days. Their interactions were limited to brief encounters in the morning. At night, they never crossed paths; Olivia either returned home too early or Tyler arrived too late.
It was Oliviaâs deliberate choice. She preferred not to see Tyler if she could avoid it.
This routine continued for about a week. Then, one afternoon, Olivia received an unexpected call.
âHello, is this Olivia Jones?â
Startled, she hesitated before responding. She hadnât expected to hear Claude at all. âWho⦠who is this?â
A gentle voice replied, âItâs Sophieâs brother, Claude.â
Oliviaâs heart raced. âHow can I help you?â She stood at the edge of the libraryâs entrance, surrounded by silence.
âI found a necklace, and I think it might be yours,â Claude explained.
Oliviaâs grip tightened on her phone. âDoes it have a heartâshaped pendant?â
âYes, itâs made from platinum.â
âItâs mine, Claude! Please, where are you?â
They agreed to meet at a cafe. Olivia entered and immediately spotted Claude. âClaude?â
He stood up as she approached. âOlivia!â
A smile spread across her face. âI hope I didnât make you wait.â
