Chapter 151
The Beginning Of All Sins
Olivia quickly clarified, âWeâre just friends. Itâs not what you think, Soof-â
Before she could finish, a voice called out from the cafeteria. âSoof.â
Sophie turned to see her brother Claude at the door, accompanied by a university guide.
Olivia didnât expect Claude to come all the way here just to see her. She felt glad but also surprised.
Claude told the guide, âI have something I need to sort out, I wonât be joining you for lunch.â
The guide responded, âNo problem. The cafeteria foodâs decent. You can try them.â
Claude nodded, and the guide left.
One of Sophieâs friends exclaimed when she saw Claude, âWhose brother is that? Heâs hot!â
Claude, in a white shirt and black pants, effortlessly drew attention. He was the type most women would like.
Approaching their table, he asked Sophie, âHaving lunch?â
Sophia looked confused. âWhat are you doing here?â
âIâve got some work here. Thought Iâd drop by to say hi,â Claude explained gently, then glanced at Olivia, who was gripping the tableâs edge. He called out, âOlivia.â
Sophia observed her brotherâs face and then Oliviaâs, sensing that something was going on between them.
Olivia released her grip on the table and replied, âThanks for earlier, Claude.â
Claude didnât seem bothered. âNot at all. I didnât think things through.â
Sophie wondered what âearlierâ meant. She watched them closely.
Claude then asked, âCan I have a word in private, Olivia?â
Olivia didnât know what he wanted but felt it would be rude not to respond, âUm.. okay.â
Claude told Sophie, âIâm gonna talk to Olivia. Enjoy your lunch.â
Sophie never refused her brother. Though it seemed odd, she agreed, âSure.â
And so, Olivia and Claude left the cafeteria, walking around campus. After some time, Claude questioned, âAnything happened lately?â
âNo.â
âWhy didnât you reply to my messages?â
âIâve been⦠busy,â Olivia replied.
