Chapter 254
The Beginning Of All Sins
Naomiâs car was parked right at the entrance of the Harrisesâ home.
Tyler didnât let Olivia walk too much, and he hugged her tight. âLetâs go rest a bit.â
Olivia didnât seem too keen at first, but eventually, she agreed. âAlright, letâs head up.
He chuckled, looking at her with a gentle gaze. âWe can go for more walks once the baby is a bit stronger, in a few days, okay?â
âMmâhmm, whatever you think is best, Tyler.â She felt a bit silly for fussing.
Tyler then gently picked her up and placed her back in the wheelchair. Their faces were so close that they accidentally touched.
Feeling a bit embarrassed, Olivia looked away. Tyler noticed and gazed at her.
Feeling even more shy, Olivia turned her head away.
Tylerâs eyes twinkled with amusement. After settling her in the wheelchair, he whispered to her, âWhy are you acting like a shy little hamster?â
âI am not,â she responded, a bit grumpy.
He chuckled at her reaction, his voice deep and warm. Olivia found his laugh quite charming.
He was patient with her. âOkay, if you say so.â
Tyler stopped teasing her. But as he turned his head, he suddenly noticed something outside the entrance. He froze.
Seeing his reaction, Olivia felt concerned. âWhatâs wrong, Tyler?â
He was silent for a moment, staring because he recognized Naomiâs car. He knew exactly who was inside.
After a brief pause, he looked at Olivia with the same warmth as before. âItâs nothing. Iâll have the maid take you upstairs.â
Olivia felt he was acting a bit odd. Just as she tried to see what he saw at the entrance, the maid had already started to wheel her away. She couldnât catch a glimpse in time.
Tyler stayed behind, not moving.
Naomi, sitting in the car, noticed Tyler had seen her. âLetâs go,â she told the driver, The driver, noticing her pale face, quickly agreed. âOkay, miss.â
And with that, they drove away. Tyler stood there a while longer, watching them leave.
Upstairs, Olivia couldnât shake the feeling that something was amiss.
âIs Tyler still downstairs?â she asked the maid who had helped her up.
âI think so,â the maid replied with a smile.
âWhat is he doing down there?â
The maid shared her confusion. It seemed odd that Tyler hadnât come up with them.
