Chapter 333
The Beginning Of All Sins
Olivia kept quiet because, for her, it didnât matter if the baby was a boy or a girl. She knew the Harrises had a preference, so she didnât know what to say when Malsy clearly showed her bias for a particular gender.
Maisy then told her, âCome back soon. Iâll have someone make you the best meal.â
Olivia softly responded, âThanks, Grandma.â
Maisy didnât realize there were more tests needed and was concerned about the harm from the phoneâs radiation to the baby. So, she said, âGive the phone back to the maid. Donât let the radiation harm the baby. Iâll be here waiting.â
Olivia simply said okay and ended the call.
Maisy couldnât stop smiling. When Ana and Keith got the news, they came home smiling and happy.
After hanging up, Maisy told the maid, âTell Tyler about this and send him the picture.
Ana knew what Maisy was up to, but she didnât interfere and just looked at Keith.
Keith looked upset and said, âTyler isnât back yet?â
Ana seized the moment and replied, âBack? We havenât even seen him.â
After a pause, Keith, with a serious look, grabbed the armrest of the couch and declared, âIâm going to talk to him again.â
Maisy advised, âYou really should talk to him. Olivia is your daughterâinâlaw, and sheâs pregnant with your grandson. Tyler is being too rude.â
Keith listened to his mother and could only respond, âOkay, Iâll talk to him.â
Following Maisyâs instructions, the maid quickly sent the picture to Tyler.
Tyler was in Naomiâs room while the doctor had just finished her checkup. She was sleeping quietly as-
Tylerâs phone vibrated in his pocket. After a bit, he took out his phone and unlocked it to see a message.
He stood frozen for a while. He stared at the picture, his babyâs face looking so real.
Then the maid sent another message, [There was a checkup today. Itâs a boy.]
Naomi woke up an up and saw Tyler standing by her bed, focused on his phone. His attention was so fixed that he didnât notice her move.
Curious, Naomi asked, âTyler, whatâs going on?â
When Tyler heard her, he quickly looked away, and Naomi noticed he was holding his phone tightly.
She sensed something was off and commented, âYou were just standing there.â
The phone screen went dark, and Tyler returned to normal, saying, âItâs just a work text.â
