Chapter 335
The Beginning Of All Sins
After Olivia was taken upstairs, she felt peaceful for a short time before her smile disappeared as she sat in her room.
Alisa noticed her mood change and offered, âLet me help you get into bed.â
Olivia agreed with a simple âOkay.â
Just as Alisa was about to assist her, several other maids appeared at the door carrying gifts. Olivia looked over and saw that the presents were very expensive.
One maid explained, âThese are gifts from the relatives for you and your baby. Where should uld we put the put them?
Olivia noticed the gifts for her were even more expensive. Tylerâs relatives had always been kind, but their generosity increased once they learned the babyâs gender.
Feeling overwhelmed, Olivia suggested, âIn the cabinet?â
âSure, Iâll put them there,â one maid replied.
But as the maid opened the cabinet, Olivia saw Tylerâs clothes, which hadnât been moved for some time. Her expression fell once again.
The maid, unaware of Oliviaâs distress, finished storing the gifts and left.
Alisa offered, âDo you want to get into bed now?â
Preferring solitude, Olivia responded, âYou can go. Iâll manage on my own.â
Alisa hesitated but eventually left, knowing Olivia could move around independently.
Olivia wheeled herself closer to the cabinet, pulled qut a doll from the gifts, and held it. Although she felt. mixed emotions, holding the doll gave her a small smile.
That evening. Tylerâs car arrived quietly. The butler approached as Tyler parked and greeted him, Welcome back, Mr. Tyler.â
Tyler, silent, continued on his way. Maisy and Ana were in the living room, but neither spoke upon seeing him.
The maid who had seen Tyler quickly went upstairs to Oliviaâs room and announced, âMaâam, Mr. Tyler is back.â
Alisa, who was giving Olivia a warm massage, looked up, surprised by the news.
Seeing no reaction from Olivia, the maid added, âMr. Tyler is downstairs.â
Oliviaâs grip on the bedsheet loosened, and she simply replied, âOhâ¦â with little emotion.
