Chapter 361
The Beginning Of All Sins
Olivia immediately regretted her words as they left her lips.
As Tyler left, she felt stranded on a deserted island. He halted a few paces away and said, âRemember, you shouldnât interfere. She does not need pity.â
How could Olivia not? As an outsider, she couldnât just watch Ana being sad.
She thought sheâd be heartbroken if that were her mother.
However, recalling that Ana was fighting Naomi, her conflicted expression vanished. It was trueâOlivia shouldnât interfere, nor did she have the right to. She was merely a pawn in this war, unable even to protect herself.
âThe only thing you can do now is to give birth to the baby. You have no right to interfere in anything else.â
Olivia was rendered speechless. The blush of humiliation slowly faded from her cheeks. After a long pause, she finally spoke, âI understand.â
Tylerâs shadow reflected grimly on the floor. He frowned, withdrawing his cold gaze from her. This time, he truly left, heading to the bathroom Having just returned home, Tyler would typically head out again after showering, a routine born of his recent hospital stays.
Olivia listened to the sound of water.
Tyler didnât take a shower today, emerging only after washing his face. Water droplets adorned his face, dampening half of his shirt. He casually tossed his tie onto the table, his gaze flat as he addressed her. âI wonât be around for a while. Behave yourself here.â
Just then, Linda entered to start packing.
Olivia watched, puzzled about his sudden departure.
Tyler didnât elaborate, merely seating himself on the couch as he waited.
Oliviaâs shadow wavered on the floor like a feeble, dark cloud.
Once Linda had packed some clothes, she approached the couch. âShould I pack your daily necessities from the bathroom?â
âPlease do,â Tyler responded.
Turning to Tyler, Olivia asked, âAre you moving out?â
Her tone remained calm.
Tyler met her gaze. âIâm going on a business trip.â
Upon hearing that, Olivia proposed, âThen, why donât I move back home?â
Tyler, engaged with Linda, appeared not to hear Olivia. He glanced at her, asking, âWhat did you say?â
Thinking he hadnât caught her words, Olivia repeated, âIâll go home. Iâm more comfortable there.â
Ignoring her suggestion, Tyler instructed Linda to fetch his bags and got up from the couch.
Perplexed, Olivia pressed on, âTyler-â
He stopped in front of her. âNothing should happen to the baby.â His implication was clear: she needed to stay.
