Chapter 83
The Beginning Of All Sins
When the maid brought soup to Oliviaâs room, she found her curled up on the couch. Olivia hadnât turned on the lights, and her face was covered in sweat The maid quickly approached her and noticed that she was trembling, her clothes soaked.
âWhat happened, Ms. Olivia?â she asked in panic.
Olivia couldnât speak properly. All she managed to say was, âIt hurtsâ¦â
The maid immediately left Oliviaâs room and rushed to the study where Tyler was.
âMr. Tyler, Ms. Olivia doesnât seem well,â she reported urgently.
Tyler was on the phone at that moment but interrupted the call upon hearing that. âWhat happened?â
The maid pointed at Oliviaâs room. âSheâs curled up on the couch and drenched in sweat!â
Tyler ended the phone call abruptly and hurried out of the study. When he entered Oliviaâs room, he saw her writhing in pain on the couch.
Without hesitation, he held her sweaty face âWhatâs wrong?â Noticing her clutching her lower abdomen, he became worried. âWhatâs going on?â
Scooping her up from the couch, he ordered the maid, âGet the doctor here right away.â
The maid was alarmed and quickly left the room. Olivia, still in pain, clung to Tylerâs shirt with her sweaty hand as he held her.
Within half an hour, the doctor arrived, and the usually dimly lit house was brightly illuminated that night. After examining Olivia, the doctor turned to Tyler, who was sitting by the bed.
âItâs just menstrual cramps. Nothing serious,â the doctor assured him.
Tyler had been tense throughout the ordeal but finally relaxed upon hearing the diagnosis. He inquired further, âAre you sure thereâs nothing else?â
The doctor reaffirmed, âThatâs all. Iâll prescribe some painkillers specifically for this.â
At that moment, Olivia had calmed down, her back turned to them as if she had fallen asleep.
âWe need to relieve her pain first,â the doctor recommended.
Chimiter $3 The maid received the prescribed painkillers but was alarmed when Olivia remained motionless.
Panicking, she said, âWhatâs happening, sir?!â
Tyler quickly went to the bed right after the doctor left. He was upset with the maid panicking. âWhatâs wrong?â
âMs. Olivia isnât moving. Sheâs not responding to me,â the maid explained, growing increasingly anxious.
Tyler attempted to lift Olivia from the bed, but she resisted and pushed him away as soon as he tried.
He grabbed her hands firmly, his tone stern as he asked, âAre you throwing a tantrum at me?â
Oliviaâs resistance faded as she became limp, like a deflated balloon. She was exhausted and felt wronged. She spoke softly and coquettishly, âEveryone bullies me.â
Tylerâs stern expression faltered as he realized how terribly he had been treating her. He might have hurt her feelings. What right did he have to treat her this way? She was just a girl longing for love.
