Maggie was momentarily taken aback, quickly withdrawing her hand and saying. “Oh…”

She looked at him and spoke softly.

Nathael’s dark eyes stared at her for a long time. After a while, his thin lips parted slightly as he said, “You’re overthinking.”

His words left Maggie momentarily speechless.

“Arc you feeling better now?” Maggie couldn’t help but ask.

But she didn’t pay attention to Nathael’s response as her attention was drawn to Ericko, who was not far behind him. Ericko was wearing a silver–grey suit and was now walking towards Vanessa, comforting her softly.

“Don’t worry. I’ll take you to apologize to Mr. Harris later. Remember, do not make up stories about others again.”

Vanessa breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing that Ericko didn’t blame her but comforted her.

She pretended to be obedient and nodded, her fingernails broken in her palm. “Ericko, do you think Mr. Harris will forgive me?”

Ericko didn’t answer directly but said softly. “Don’t worry about his attitude. Just focus on doing what you should do.”

Vanessa wanted to say something else, but Ericko’s phone suddenly rang. He nodded to Vanessa and then walked towards the balcony on the venue’s second floor.

A few seconds later, Maggie and Ericko bumped into each other. The glass of wine in Ericko’s hand instantly spilled on both of them, and Maggie’s handbag fell to the ground, breaking

the lock.

gaze.

Looking at the beautiful face in front of him, Ericko was momentarily stunned, feeling strange and indescribable. It was very peculiar, somewhat exciting, and seemed particularly pleasing..

“I’m sorry, sir,” Maggie spoke again, pulling Ericko back from his thoughts.

“It’s okay.” Ericko said while bending down to pick up Maggie’s handbag that had fallen to the ground.

Ericko was momentarily stunned. His gaze fell on the jade pendant in the bag, and then he looked at Maggie. “There’s a jade pendant inside.”

At that moment, Ericko noticed that red wine had spilled on the front of his suit, leaving a noticeable stain..

“Anthony, please prepare a set of clothes for me and this lady,” Ericko said calmly, making at decision on the spot. He noticed that Maggie’s dress was also stained with red wine.

“Thank you,” Maggie said gratefully.

Maggie followed Ericko to the guest rooms and leisurely changed her clothes.

The dress Anthony brought was a black gown, similar to her previous one but with an additional shoulder sleeve design. The V–neck extended outward, connecting to two sleeve pieces.

After changing, Maggie opened the door and saw Ericko waiting outside.

Seeing that the clothes fit well, Ericko warmly said, “I apologize for staining your dress. If it’s convenient, you can leave your contact information. I will have it cleaned and returned to

you.”

Maggie felt a sense of daze as she looked at Ericko in front of her.

Was this man really her brother?

He was elegant, gentle, meticulous, and polite.
