Chapter 249
Divorce Time
Chapter 249 As usual, Charlene remained calm.
With Thorneâs memory, recalling these details was no big deal, The fact that Thorne had prepared all of this was probably just his way of thanking them for visiting Irma.
Nothing more.
After finishing their meal, Charlene and Helena stayed for another hour before deciding it was time to leave.
Seeing it was getting late, Irma didnât insist on them staying. She turned to Thorne and said, âYou and Minnie should head home early too.â
âAlright,â Thorne replied, âIâll come by in the morning to check on you,â
Charlene, Thorne, and the others left the hospital room together.
Once they were in the elevator, Thorne asked, âDid you drive yourself here?â
Charlene nodded, âYeah.â
Thorne didnât say anything more, but Jasmine suddenly remembered something and quickly asked Charlene, âMom, are you not coming home tonight either?â
Charlene replied, âNo, Iâm taking your grandma back home and plan to stay over there tonight.â
âThen I want to stay at Grandmaâs too!â
Though Jasmine had grown closer to Thorne lately, in Helenaâs heart, Jasmine was always Charleneâs daughter.
Hearing Jasmine wanting to stay at the Rossâ, Helena warmly agreed, âOf course, sweetheart.â
Since Helena had already agreed, Charlene felt she couldnât say no. However, she reminded Jasmine, âYou donât have any clothes to change into at grandmaâs.â
Before Jasmine went abroad with Thorne, Charlene often took her to the Rossâ, and back then, Jasmine had a whole wardrobe of clothes there, thanks to her mom and aunt Maisie.
However, in the past couple of years, Jasmineâs visits to the Rossâ had significantly decreased. Kids grow fast, and Charlene and Maisie hadnât kept up with updating her wardrobe like before.
So now, there were no clothes that fit her at the Rossâ.
âReally?â Jasmine pouted, âThen-â
At that moment, Thorne chimed in, âIâll call someone to drop off some clothes for you.â
Charlene paused but didnât say anything more.
Jasmine was thrilled, âYay, I can sleep with Mom tonight!â
Outside the hospital, Jasmine happily climbed into Charleneâs car while Thorne walked over to his own car and handed Jasmine her backpack.
Jasmine took it with a cheerful, âThanks, Dad!â
Thorne ruffled her hair gently, glancing at Charlene in the driverâs seat. Charlene didnât look back but told Jasmine, âMinnie, say goodbye to Dad.â
Jasmine obediently said, âGoodbye, Dad.â
âGoodbye.â
As Thorneâs voice faded, Charlene rolled up the window, turned the car around, and drove away.
11:01 Chapter 24.
By the time they reached the Rossâ, Jasmineâs clothes had already been delivered.
As Jasmine dashed upstairs, Helena turned to Charlene and remarked, âItâs good that he doesnât limit your time with Minnie.â
Helena had worried that with custody on Thorneâs side, he might prevent Charlene from seeing Jasmine.
If that happened over time, there was a risk of the mother and daughter growing distant.
For any mother, that was a heartbreaking thought.
Charlene didnât explain further to Helena, simply nodding and suggesting she rest early before heading upstairs herself.
The next morning.
The Ross family and Jasmine were having breakfast downstairs.
Suddenly, there was a notification from the security post out frontâthey had a visitor.
Charlene glanced outside and saw it was Thorneâs car.
