Matt&The Keys
The Light That Shines Within(Sneak Peek)
It seems every time I encounter Lily Thomas, something takes over me and I blurt out word vomit. I can't believe that happened last night. Lily was so freaking hot in that dress and heels. I couldn't help but get a rise from her again. It's 11am and I know before long that I'll want to kick Nadia out for the day. My phone pings with a new text message.
Eric: Hey, man. Long night.
Matt: You sly devil.
Eric: I tried.
Matt: And?
Eric: That was a no go. She wants you to think we did something.
Matt: I knew it. This should be fun.
Eric: Lily seems like a good chick. I wouldn't mess around.
Matt: Ha!
Eric: Matt?
Matt: Sorry, the wheels are spinning.
Eric: You figure that out. Ttyl.
This is perfect. Lily wants me to think she slept with Eric. She's not going to have any idea I know the truth. Monday morning should be interesting. I'm not out to get her, but I wouldn't mind teasing her a little bit. Watch her squirm. See what makes her tick.
From the bedroom Nadia yells, "Let's do brunch, Matt."
"Can't. I have to run to the office." She's come into the other room now.
"Matt, are you trying to avoid me?"
"No, gorgeous. Just work stuff."
That's a lie. My skin is crawling just thinking about having to pancake and orange juice it on Saturday morning. I'm not that kind of guy.
In an effort to schoo her on, "Get dressed and I'll see you out."
She leaves and I can breathe. I need my uninterrupted time and space. My phone lights up again. A text pops up from an unknown number.
"Hey. I left the key to the rec center classroom at the office.
"Who is this?"
"Umm..Lily. I tried Rita but she's not answering. My class is on Sunday afternoon this week."
"Today's Saturday."
"Right. I know that. I don't want to wait until the last minute."
"Lily, I can't come right now."
"What?"
"I'm nursing a headache and a hard on."
"INAPPROPRIATE!!"
"Give me an hour an I'll meet you at the office."
I hang up. There goes my Saturday. Though, I find myself rushing to shower, shave, and get dressed. I make it to the office in just under an hour.
Lily is already there when I arrive. She's standing there with the wind blowing her auburn locks around. She's completely unaware of the guys along the street that are checking her out. A thin floral dress. Black ankle boots. A long charcoal sweater and a floppy hat. When I approach her, she becomes startled.
"What's with the hat?"
"I don't know. What's wrong with my hat?"
"You going to church?"
"Ugh. I'll take it off."
"I'm only teasing. It suits you."
"Umm...thanks, I guess."
"Let's go inside, so you can get your key."
We say nothing to each other for all four flights up in the elevator. We get off and she heads straight to her desk. She's over digging in her desk drawer. Her dress has risen in the back. I have a clear view of her butt and just a sneak peek of her light pink panties.
Down boy. Who am I kidding? I walk up behind her and bend down the way she is bending. I semi press my body against hers. "Lily, did you find it,?" I whisper into her ear. She scoots her bottom a little. I know she has to have some idea of my hard on. Still standing, but not bent over, we pause a moment. Again blowing breath into her ear, "How was the rest of your night?"
"It was amazing."
"I heard you had a good time."
"I heard you had a good time with Nadia."
"The best."
"Eric has a good set of hands."
"I bet. Not like mine though. Lily, give me your hand."
"No."
"Give it to me, Lily!"
She reaches back to grab my hand. She's still facing the desk. I'm still right behind her.
"Hands like these, Lily? Did he use these to massage you?"
I let go of her hand and place them on the back of her shoulders. I start massaging them. I hear a hitch in her breath.
"That's none of your business Mr. Bonner."
"So?"
"So, I'm not telling you."
"Maybe it didn't happen at all."
I love feeling her fret.
"What I do in my private life is really not up for discussion."
"As long as it doesn't affect you at the workplace. It seems you are calm and collected."
"I am."
"Whatever you say, Ms. Thomas."
She turns around and breaks free from my hands. Then faces me.
"I've got my key. I can go now."
"I wouldn't want you to keep Eric waiting."
"Say hello to Nadia for me."
"Of course."
Just like that she walks straight out. No turning back. No saying goodbye. I think I got to her. At least I hope so. She's going to feel like a fool and I'm going to watch her crumble.
