peach sun lover
dirty gold
"do you feel that?" she asked. "yes," i whispered. the thump-thump of her heart was a solid certainty, like the sun setting and the moon rising. she was my lover and she fell from the sky (i like to believe she fell for me) in a cloud of stars shaped like frozen tears. i died and i came back when her honey tongue found mine, her sweet sugary lips like sticky nectar syrup and i was consumed by the heat in her chest. she stole the sun from the sky and it swallowed her whole and sunflowers sprouted from the spaces between her porcelain ribs. my lover is a divine design, i'll forever watch the skin around her neck slowly beat like a dry african drum and her half lidded eyes like a peach sunrise. even if i was a vampire i'll stay hungry.
-if nectar is for gods then love is for men.
