14: Getting Married

My mom informed me that tomorrow is my mehndi. The day after tomorrow is my nikkan & ruksati and then Walima. My life just took a 360° turn I never expected to marry a man like him I know he's not that bad but I never looked at him like that.

She told me that Malaika and her mom will be bringing the dress for nikkah. My mom took me to the parlor and I got my services done. I was feeling really nervous.

kya soucha tha kya hogaya.

I always imagine myself having an arranged marriage but this is something that I least expected. I got home after some time they came with the dresses.

I don't know when I slept at night. I was kinda excited and kinda nervous about my WEDDING. Mom informed me that dadi is coming back as she is feeling way better. Mom took me and Malaika for shopping we were looking at bridal attires for Aaliyana. She bought two dresses one for Walima and the other for Nikkah (ruksati).

(Author's note: nikkah is a ceremony in a Muslim wedding where male and female are declared as husband and wife)

I genuinely never expected this type of wedding. They bought everything they needed. I left them and went to the jewelry shop and purchased a ring and diamond bracelets.

That day when we were shopping for the engagement she liked this ring but didn't buy it so I decided to give her this as her mu dekhai.

We went back home.

Mom and Malaika went to Aaliyana's house to give her the things they bought for her.

I already told Azlaan everything he's excited because he has seen me having a crush on her the way I used to think for her and I've waited for 2 years. I went to my room and I decided to message Aaliyana to ask if she was happy about this last-minute wedding decision.

"Hi Aaliyana. how are you doing?" I texted her

My mom told me tomorrow mehndi artists will come to do my henna. I was in my room when I received a text from zaviyaar I read it and why he wasn't calling me liyana I know I told him not but he didn't listen to me at first but nevermind

"Hey I'm good you tell" I replied

"I'm good too. I just wanted to ask if you're happy? Is this your decision? If you don't want it we can delay the wedding." he messaged

I was surprised to read his message because why does he care about me? I told him to say no to this marriage but he said yes and now why does he even care if I say no I want to delay the marriage. I thought

"No there's no need for that." I simply replied back because I knew I was stuck with his guy.

He asked me about my joining and I asked about dadi we talked a bit then I slept.

THE NEXT MORNING:

OKAY SO today is my mehndi. Omg god I'll be getting married by tomorrow I was so emotional. Noor came in the morning and phophu and Arslan will be joining us.

I was in my room when my mom came.

'Kitani bari hogai ho' She said holding back her tears.

(You've grown so big)

'Apna khayal rakhana'

the moment she said this I started crying.

She patted my head Daniyal and Ahmed Bhai also entered the room they teased me and made me laugh.

I'll miss them most. My mom told me to get ready. I opted for a yellow dress as my family wanted to do the haldi ritual and mehndi artists will apply the mehndi I was really nervous I'm on very verge of having an anxiety attack but thanks to Noor she was there for me we clicked a lot of pictures.

Soon my family did the haldi function baba gave me the blessings I could see he was holding his tears my mom got emotional after every second. When I was looking around my whole childhood was flashing in front of my eyes I'll be leaving the house in which I spent my whole life.

Mehndi artists came and started doing my mehndi.

Today is my mehndi we all denied this function because of dadi's health but dadi insisted on doing this event so today we are invited to Aaliyana's place because the wedding functions are held at her place except for Walima. I'm really excited and nervous at the same time

The whole KHANS Mansion is decorated with lights and different items.

I was using my phone when I opened my Instagram and saw her story
