Stop
Shortie & Knight
*Maximus*
"You asshole!" I growled as I punched the guy in the face, grabbing him by his collar so he wouldn't fall over.
"I don't know what I did!" He spluttered with his bloody mouth.
I snarled. "Fucking pig!"
Before I was punching that guy's face, I was walking over to my locker where he was talking with a bunch of his friends. He kept saying disgusting and perverted stuff about all of the girls he's slept with. Then, right when I was about to ignore the guy, he started talking about Audrey, Amethyst, and Samantha. I lost it and grabbed him by the collar before punching him.
Now that you're caught up, let's get back to where we left off.
I kept on punching him even when a crowd started to form around us. People were taking pictures, whispering, huddling together, some of the people were even teachers as well. It wasn't the first time that I had been caught punching someone, but every time they asked why I did it, my reason made sense and I was just put in detention or something.
"Stop!" A small voice screamed, a small voice that always made me smile.
I froze and turned away, my fist about an inch for my the guy's face. I felt as my eyes surfed the crowd for the small voice that I always thought about. After a few seconds of complete silence, everyone holding their breath to see who said that, I saw the beautiful girl to the sweet little voice.
"Amy," I breathed happily.
She wasn't very happy. Her eyes were bloodshot red, as if she had been crying for hours. Her cheeks were puffy, making her look like a little chipmunk. Her plump lips were in a large pout, her bottom lip quivering, a sign that she was holding in her tears. Plus, her whole body was rigid, not a slight twitch of movement, and she looked like she was ready to sprint away if someone so much as touched her.
"Amy?" I asked.
"Let him go... now," she ordered.
I froze in surprise as everyone gasped, including the teachers, and raised an eyebrow.
"What? Why?" I, among others, asked.
"Do it!" She growled angrily.
I sighed and slowly let go of the guy's collar, his body collapsing to the floor as soon as I let him go.
"What's wrong, shortie?" I questioned sweetly.
She scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Do not use that voice with me, Maximus King."
I lowered my head in shame, sad that I had already made Amy get mad at me.
"Sorry," I muttered.
She stomped up to me, grabbed my collar, and started to drag me outside, the crowd parting for her like the Red Sea. Everyone was snapping pictures, taking videos, and gossiping about what was going to happen while I just kept my head down, not wanting to see where we were going.
"We need to have a bit of a talk, okay?" She gritted as she pushed me into some empty classroom.
"Okay."
"Look at me."
"No thank you."
"I said look at me!"
"I said no!" I snapped my head up and snarled. "Don't forget-" I paused mid-sentence, knowing that I'd regret saying the whole thing.
"Don't forget what, huh? That you're the bad boy of the school? That you can do whatever the fuck you want? That if you can beat up that boy so easily you can do the same to me?"
I grunted in response.
She scoffed. "Hit me then."
"What?"
"If you're so fucking badass and cool, hit me!" She waited for a few minutes as I did nothing.
"That's what I thought. You would never even dream of hitting me, but you don't think twice about that guy you could've killed. I'm not going to be friends with you if you can't learn how to control your fucking anger, Max...imus."
I smiled a bit when she didn't use my last name.
"You're my knight in shining armor, right? Well guess what? While you were out punching random guys in the hallway, I got ganged up on by a bunch of girls... but you wouldn't know that would you? I know you can't save me all the time, I have to learn to do that myself, but you cannot just lose control and punch anyone you want! I don't care what he did, I know it was probably something bad and stupid, but that doesn't mean he deserves all of those bruises! If you're going to 'save' me anytime I need help, learn how to save yourself from being put in jail for almost killing a man."
She didn't even wait for my response as she stormed away, wiping her tears as she did.
"He said he was gonna get you in bed one day, wether you liked it or not, and-and..." I sighed. "You wouldn't have been able to walk for days with the things he said, shortie. I couldn't help myself..." I looked down at my shoes. "I love you too much to let him get away with saying that, much less do it," I whispered the last part quietly as I could in case anyone was listening outside.

As soon as I got my lunch I jogged over to where Amy was sitting and scooted next to her. She squeaked a little in surprise but sighed as soon as she saw my face.
I hadn't payed attention in any of my classes that day, including the one's I had with her, my mind trying to find a way to make her forgive me. I always had my mind on her, there was never a time I didn't, but it was really severe that day.
"I'm sorry, shortie. I really am! Look, I'll make it up to you any way I can. In fact, we can match outfits for the presentation like you wanted! I'll wear whatever amazing outfit you come up with. In fact, we can match for a whole month if you want! I'll take all of your pictures for Instagram, help you with homework even though you don't need it, I'll even not get into a fight for a whole week! Please forgive me, shortie, please," I pleaded.
Her eyes were wide in surprise and her mouth slowly opened to say something. After a moment, she closed it and smiled. She slowly leaned in and kissed my cheek softly before sitting back into her seat. I felt my cheeks heat up and the large grin creep on my face when she winked at me.
"I do have some good outfit ideas for the presentation. I also have some great spots for pictures, we can even do some together! Besides, I've got some other things I want to do and you'd be the perfect person to do them with!" She shrugged innocently with a smirk. "Besides, Samantha needs to hang out with Xander more and I really want to go to the spa."
I didn't even lose my smile. "Whatever you want, shortcake."
She took a bite of her salad. "Oh I know, knight, I'll get whatever I want."

"Really? Every time? But-" she held up her finger.
"But nothing. I wanna do this, knight!" She pouted and widened her eyes, making her look like the most adorable thing in the world. "Please? For me?"
I sighed in defeat. "I can't say no to that adorable face. Fine, I'll do it with you, but only because you're too cute for me to say no."
She smiled brightly. "Yay! Set up the camera and- oops." She frowned a little. "I forgot to ask if you can edit them too."
I sighed. "Anything for you, shortie."
She smiled and hugged me. "Thank you so much! You're such a great guy, knight!"
She scurried back to the couch and fixed the pillows a bit. I chuckled and set up her tripod before putting on the camera. I looked up to see her already sitting in her spot.
"Are you ready?" I asked.
She smiled. "Yep!"
I pressed the record button before walking over to the couch and sitting next to Amy. She giggled as I picked her up and put her on my lap before the both of us waved to the camera.
"Hey guys!" We greeted in unison.
"It's shortie!" Amy said.
"And knight!" I followed.
"And welcome to our channel!" We said together.
"What are we doing today, knight?" Amy asked as she looked up at me.
I smirked. "We are going to do the couples yoga challenge, or whatever."
"You should've put on your stretchy pants for this one because I chose some really hard poses to do," Amy giggled.
I rolled my eyes. "You'll be doing most of the stretchy stuff anyway, Miss Dancer."
She smirked and hopped off my lap. "First we need to move the couch and then we can get started."
"And by 'we', she means 'me'," I said with a slight chuckle as I got up as well.
She playfully punched my arm. "Shut up and move the couch."
After two hours of hard poses that involved a lot of lifting, Amy is stronger than she looks, we ended the video. I told Amy that I would edit it at home and that we should just watch a movie. She agreed with me and helped me move the couch, since my entire body was ready to collapse, and picked out the movie and I sat down.
"Do you like Princess and the Frog?" She asked as she studied a DVD.
I smirked. "If you like it, we can watch it."
She nodded absentmindedly before popping it into the DVD player. She went into the kitchen for a moment before coming out with a large bucket of vanilla ice cream. I was skipping the previews that they gave you when she handed me a spoon and sat on my lap.
"I hope you like vanilla or else this friendship is dead," she said bluntly and she popped a spoonful of ice cream in her mouth.
"Carmel crunch is my favorite but since you're one of my favorite people, I going to eat this ice cream with pride."
She giggled and snuggled into me. "Did I already say that you're a pretty great guy?" I nodded. "I lied. You're absolutely amazing!"
I smiled brightly. "All because of ice cream, huh?"
She nodded. "What the hell else would it be about?"
I frowned a bit.
"Other than the fact that you're nice, handsome, and really tall, ice cream is the only reason." She looked up at me and smirked. "Besides, who's going to give me hugs when I'm sad?"
I smirked back. "Ben or Jerry."
She shrugged with and impressed look. "Don't forget Cold Stone, he's pretty chill."
I fake gagged. "That was awful."
"And 'Ben or Jerry' was good?" She asked sassily, deepening her voice when she said Ben or Jerry.
"I don't sound like that."
"Says any person who does, in fact, sound 'like that'."
I never thought I would argue with someone and have fun at the same time but I did it for about half a movie that day.

"I think that after 'It don't matter where I'm going or what I came to do
The point is there ain't nothing I'd rather have than you' you should say 'Wrap me, wrap me in your arms'," Amy said thoughtfully as she wrote down some notes on her bed.
"Then we'd sing 'And hold me, hold me to the morning comes' right?" I asked as I strummed something on her guitar.
She nodded. "What should we say after that?"
"It would obviously be your part, that's for sure, but other than that I don't know. Should it be a love song or should it just be friendship like?"
She smiled. "I mean, friendship would make sense, but make it relatable to love as well, you know?"
I nodded. "Yeah I get it."
"Cool!" She cheered before scribbling down some words on her notepad.
