Chapter 18

From a Vampire's Brother to a Human's Mate (Book 2: Completed)

SORRY FOR THE LONG WAIT, ENJOY!

Dawn’s POV

“Yeah, I’m sure you’ll be the one to go crazy first,” I rolled my eyes back at him.

“Haha, you’re so funny you know that?” He said sarcastically.

“I know,” I smiled teasingly.

“I have something to show you,” Tony smiled and stood up pulling me with him.

“What?” I asked.

“Well, I have to show you don’t I?” He smirked and pulled me with him.

I smiled and followed him.

“Tony, you ready?” I heard Felix ask, just outside the door.

“Yeah, I’m coming,” We walked out and he, Hannah, Travis and Julie were standing there.

“What is going on?” Hannah asked looking at Julie and me.

“Don’t look as us,” Julie laughed.

“Come on,” Travis rolled his eyes and led us down the stairs.

“Tony, seriously . . .” I smiled at him curiosity over growing me.

“Just be patient,” He rolled his eyes.

They took us down stairs to the dress room. Yes there was a dress room. Like what?!

“What is this?” Julie asked when we stepped into the room.

“We heard about Ian ruining your little dress shopping and that you guys were just going to wear old dresses and we couldn’t allow you to do that,” Tony smiled.

“So we had dresses made you guys,” Travis smiled at Julie.

“Wait, what?” Hannah looked at Felix shocked.

“We had dresses made for you as a gift,” Felix smiled at her.

“Well, where are they?” I asked.

Tony laughed at me. “Yeah, let’s show them,” He smiled.

“Fine, right through there. Julie, yours is the first one,” Travis nodded to the door.

Julie pushed passed Travis to the door.

All the dresses were beautiful, but Julie’s was the most extravagant. It was corseted and fluffed out at the waist and was a beautiful mix of deep blue and violet fabric. It was amazing.

“Oh my god! Travis! It is perfect!” She ran up to him and hugged him.

“Go ahead, Hannah. Yours is next,” Felix whispered in her ear.

“Wait, really?” Hannah looked up at Felix shocked.

“Well, yeah,” Felix smiled and it seemed genuine. It was the nicest I had ever seen him and he was actually really attractive when he smiled like that.

I looked up to Tony and caught him smiling at his brother and Hannah as he pushed her towards the closet to get her dress.

He looked down at me and his smile grew when he caught me watching him.

“What?” He raised an eyebrow at me.

“I was just thinking . . . When Felix actually smiles he might be more attractive than you,” I teased.

“Ha ha. You truly are funny, Dawn.” He rolled his eyes and pulled my back into his chest.

“I'm starting to like her,” Felix smirked as Hannah twirled playing with her entirely elegant and beautiful dress. It was all black. And that was completely her style. It had a sweetheart neckline and one strap came from the center and went over one shoulder. In the front of the dress, in the middle where it came together there was a cluttering of rhinestones that faded as they moved away from the center.. Then from directly under her breast the dress flowed to the ground elegantly. The back showed off nearly her whole back.

“Either way,” Tony whispered in my ear, close enough that his lips brushed against my ear, “I'm better in bed.”

He then slightly nibbled on my ear as his fingers moved slowly along the lip of my jeans.

I gasped and slightly jumped when two of his fingers slipped into my jeans.

The feel of his skin against mine, the warmth of his body against my back, the soft brush of his lips against my ears nearly put me over the edge.

The suddenly it was all gone, “Dawn it's time for your dress,” Tony announced.

I nearly fell over from the shock of it.

I turned and looked a Tony shocked, but when I saw his sexy smirk I glared at him.

“Well? Dawn, go get your dress,” Julie insisted.

“Sorry, my mind is a little foggy,” I stated and Tony chuckled. I quickly stuck my tongue out at him and then turned to see the dress.

“Oh my God!” I breathed.

It was absolutely gorgeous.

It was floor length like the others. It was like Hannah’s in the way that it had a sweetheart neckline, a strap that started from the center and went over one shoulder, but instead of the cluster of rhinestones just fading out mine also had a strip of rhinestones along the top and along the empire cut waist line. From that last strip of rhinestones the dress flowed lose to the floor like Hannah’s dress. The other difference is that mine was a beautiful peach pink instead of black.

“Tony, it's beautiful” I breathed.

“I'm glad you like it” he smiled down at me.

“And where is my dress, Anthony?”

Tony instantly tensed up. I watched each and every muscle in his body pulled tight and his jaw flex.

He really didn't like this woman. I couldn't understand why though. She was absolutely beautiful. Her goddess-like body and features were like a warm marble sculpture. She was perfect in every way yet she was warm and motherly looking too. There was something in her green eyes that drew me in. Her long black hair was not in a braid like I had seen it before but instead it was flowing in small waves down her back.

I had no idea why God allowed such a perfect creature to exist.

“I don't know. Go ask my mother,” Tony spat.

My eyes snapped from her smiling face to Tony's angered expression.

“I did and she told me to ask you,” she smirked.

“Well, I don't know so . . .”

“Tony,” I cut him off and cursing myself for doing so because they all turned their eyes on me.

Tony's anger vanished and he turned his full attention to me.

I cleared my throat feeling incredible inferior under Lupa's gaze.  “Don't be rude. It's probably in the closet.” I met her eyes turning completely away from Tony.

“Good,” she smiled and walked past me. “That is a beautiful dress. The color will look great with Tony's skin.” She smiled and instantly the compliment felt like harassment.

I felt the blush rise to my cheeks and tears come to my eyes. I wish Tony would be wearing the same color as me.

Tony tensed up and ran his hand through his hair sighing.

“What? I'm sorry. Did I miss something?” She asked innocently

“Why do you even need a dress, Lupa? Do you like dressing up?” Tony snapped.

“Tony!” Travis growled.

“Cut it out,” Julie warned.

“No, its fine,” She sighed and smirked at Tony. There was something in her eyes that told me he was going to pay later. “Your mother didn’t tell you? I am going to the dance with you guys?”

“Oh really? And who will be your date?” Tony smirked.

“Well, you are . . . I would guess,” She smiled and walked to the closet.

“I am not . . .”

“Tony,” I breathed as I cut off his growl.

“What?” He snapped.

“Relax, will you . . . who cares who you go with. I wasn’t expecting you to be at the dance all by yourself.” I shrugged hiding the fact that I wanted to cry.

“But she’s . . .”

“Beautiful and nice . . . so whatever, okay? I am going to go try this amazing dress on and when I see you again I want you to be relaxed for goodness sakes,” I rolled my eyes.

He breathed and smiled, “Sure.”

“Come on girls,” I waved at my friends and the followed me back upstairs.

“Are you okay?” Hannah asked when we got up to Tony’s room.

“Yeah,” I breathed as I laid my dress on the bed and began to undress myself.

“But that girl is like . . .”

“Shut up much, Hannah?” Julie snarled at her.

“I am just saying she should totally claw that bitches eyes out,” Hannah scoffed.

“Yeah, well she doesn’t need it rubber in her face that this girl is with Tony,” Julie rolled her eyes.

“You guys,” I breathed. “I don’t care. Tony is putting up with me going with Ian . . . He doesn’t want to go with her just as much as I don’t want to go with Ian, but there is nothing we can do.” I shrugged and turned back to the dress.

“Dawn, it’s okay to be a little angry . . .”

“Well, of course I am angry,” I snapped sick of the conversation. “Are you happy? Are we done?” I glared at them.

“No, sweetie, we are just trying to help you . . .” Julie sighed.

“Well, you’re not so . . . just stop and help me into this dress,” I breathed stepping into the dress and pulling it up my body. I loved the fabric it was airy light and not too restricting.

Julie zipped me up.

“You look beautiful,” Hannah gushed.

“Tony is gonna die,” Julie squealed.

“Doesn’t matter,” I mumbled.

“My turn!” Hannah chirped and began to strip.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Tony’s POV

Lupa walked into the closet and closed the door.

“What is wrong with you . . . treat her with respect!” Travis snapped at me.

“She is going to be your savior . . .  you need her,” Felix growled.

“Well, I am not going to be all over her with Dawn here! She already caught us making out and I am not proud of that fact. I am sick of dealing with this shit!” I growled.

“Wolf up, buddy . . . You’re an Alpha and you don’t have time to play around. Either take your mate or take out your sexual tense on that hot piece of Alpha in there!” Felix growled.

I looked to Travis for help.

“For once I one hundred percent agree with your brother,” Travis shook his head.

“I can’t do that to her,” I shook my head.

“Dawn will never know . . . she doesn’t need to,” Travis sighed and patted my shoulder.

“Yeah, but I will tell her anyway,” I shook my head.

Then the door opened and out walked Luna.

I thought I was going to jump her right then and there, I had never seen a more beautiful woman before and the dress she was wear the simple light, almost white, pink dress she wore made her look even more beautiful.

There was really nothing to it. It had a sweetheart neckline which was beaded with rhinestones and led to an empire waist that then flowed simply and naturally to the ground. tI was strapless and every part of the dress somehow highlighted every part of her body. The fabric laid perfectly on her curves, the color made her skin and hair stand out even more. The simplicity of it really showed off her natural beauty.

“So what do you think?” She asked and turned in the dress.

“You looked beautiful, Lupa,” I was the first to answer and I couldn’t help it.

“You truly do, Alpha,” Travis nodded.

“Do you like the color?” She walked up to me. “I like how light it is. I contrast with our dark skin.” She grabbed my hand and rested it against her waist to so my skin against color of the dress.

“Yes. It’s a nice color,” I looked into her eyes.

“You ready for us?” I heard Julie ask.

“Of course,” I replied instantly and pulled my head away from Lupa and turned towards the stairs.

I heard her sigh and she walked around to stand at my side.

Julie walked in first. He dress seemed to swallow her up, but she liked it so Travis liked it also.

Hannah walked in and I instantly understood Felix’s color choice. She looked absolutely elegant in black. The dress accented her perfectly.

I held my breathed and waited.

When Dawn walked through the door my jaw dropped and my breath left me. She looked absolutely amazing. Just as Lupa’s dress did for her, Dawn’s dress highlighted her every beauty and hid any possible flaw. It was simple and elegant and the color made her hair pop. The sight of her in it nearly had me drooling.

“What?” Dawn blushed.

“Nothing . . . it’s just . . . you look amazing,” I breathed unable to say much else.

“I am glad you think so,” She smiled and walked up to me.

I looked at Lupa and then at Dawn . . . Why did Luna decided to smile down on me so . . . This was a blessing and a curse. I had to either choose between the most beautiful women that have ever entered my sight, or I could have one and claim the other.

But the guilt would drive me mad . . .  and I would tell Dawn eventually. Would Dawn accept me after what I am considering doing?

I looked down and studied my innocent mate. She has been through so much abuse and heart ache. She does not deserve to go through anymore and as her mate I want to and will protect her from any harm, but what if I am the one who will bring her harm? Can I protect her from myself.

Travis was right . . . the mating process can be fatal to a human being . . . especially with an Alpha. Our sex drive is heightened over the heightened sex drive of normal wolves. Could I face the world . . . my pack . . . if I killed her in the mating process? No, I would just as quickly kill myself.

Then I turned to Lupa.

This was my only possible option. This beautiful pure blood Alpha . . . The last of her kind. I can help her as she helps me. She needs another to help continue the line of Pure bloods. She will not live forever though she will live for a much longer time after me, but who can guarantee that there will be another like me. A grandson of Luna herself . . . I am as close as it gets to  pure blood out there and my line will be deluded after I mate with Dawn. Its not her fault . . . It’s nobody’s fault but it’s true.

Should I really risk losing Dawn to save a race and possibly save Dawn’s life.

I am her mate . . . I will protect her from anything that may cause her harm . . . and that includes myself above all.

Lupa looked back at me and raised an eye brow.

I sighed and nodded to her.

A smiled grew on her face and she went back to watching the others. I turned to Dawn and plastered a smile on my face.

I lipped I love you.

She smiled and lipped I love you, too, back and leaned against my chest.

I held her tight to me. It was all I could do to not run away from the whole situation.
