Chapter 25
From a Vampire's Brother to a Human's Mate (Book 2: Completed)
Dawnâs POV
âGod, this has been the most amazing day ever!â Julie gushed.
As we all met up in the common room connecting out separate massage rooms we saw our dresses hanging there.
âYeah, and now we get to go to the dance,â Hannah laughed. âIt is so nice have super . . .â
Julie elbowed Hannah.
âOw . . . I mean super rich boyfriends,â Hannah glared at Julie and then smiled at me.
âWhat?â I looked at them confused.
âNothing,â They said together and then turned to their dresses.
I chose to ignore it because my mind was racing. I was going to be seeing Ian in about a half an hour. I was scared and nervous.
Would he be angry? Would he attack me? I was banking on the fact that we would be out in the open and he wouldnât be able to hurt me in front of everyone or else they would all find out who he really was. Then again I was almost hoping for it so that people would see . . . see that he was sick and twisted and damaged beyond repair.
âDawn, can you help tie me up?â Julie asked.
I turned to her and helped tie her dress up. With her hair all up in ringlet curls she looked amazing. Her make-up was light, but still highlighted her features like her bright blue-gray eyes and full pink lips.
âWow,â I smiled.
âReally?â She squealed and turned to the full-body mirror. âYay!â
I just laughed.
âMy turned,â Hannah called.
I walked over and zipped up her dress. Her hair was half-up-half-down in beautiful golden curls.
Both of them looked gorgeous. Honestly I didnât know how I could compare with them.
âYour turn, girl. Come on, the boys will be here soon,â Julie pushed.
âFine,â I sighed and I got dressed.
Hannah zipped me up and I walked up to a mirror.
âOh my,â I breathed.
âThatâs not fare!â Hannah complained.
âYouâre so beautiful,â Julie breathed.
They were right. I could see it. I could actually see it. This girl standing before with deep brown, almost black hair in loose ringlet curls going over one shoulder and bright blue eyes shining. Her body was smooth and curvy and the peachy dress lay perfectly over it. The flaws were hidden and beauty escaped from the whole it had been trapped in. Tony did this.
This glowing to my skin, the brightness in my eyes . . . it was all thanks to Tony. He was the reason I was no longer an empty shell waiting for and welcoming death. I was alive now . . . for the first time since I could remember.
âWe are all beautiful,â I grabbed them and pulled them into the view of the mirror with me.
âYeah, weâre pretty hot,â Hannah laughed and we all joined her.
There was a knock on the door.
âCome in,â I giggled.
âYour vehicle is here for you,â The brunette you showed us to the room walked in.
âThank you,â Julie replied and then she stepped back out.
We slipped on our shoes and grabbed our bag of our other clothes and walked out to the front of the Salon where there was a long black limo with our three boys standing in front.
They all stood straight and smiled. They all looked incredibly sexy in their tuxes.
We looked at each other and smiled and then walked up to our boys.
Tony was beaming.
âDawn, you look like youâve walked from a dream,â He breathed.
âYeah well if you were in my dream youâd be wearing a lot less clothes,â I teased.
He laughed and rolled his eyes at me, âYou look amazing.â He tried again.
I smiled back at him, âThank you,â I breathed. âYou looked incredible.â
âI know,â He smirked.
I just laughed.
âArenât we going to be late?â Lupa stepped out of the limo.
She looked absolutely stunning. She didnât go to a salon and spa and she looked ten times better than the rest of us. Without a question.
I honestly wanted to punch her in the face then run her over with a car, but sadly I knew she was still come out looking better than I did.
âWe have time,â Tony sighed sounding annoyed.
I just smiled at him. I couldnât handle tonight if I knew that Tony would be just as annoyed with having Lupa at his side as I was.
âNo, sheâs right. They start letting people in a 3:30 and the dinner starts at 4:00,â Julie shot in giving me and apologetic look.
I nodded, âYeah, and we still have to pick up Ian,â I sighed.
Tony growled, âYeah, whatever,â
âCome on,â Felix helped Hannah in and then followed her with Julie and Travis right behind them
âLetâs go, Anthony,â Lupa smiled as she stepped back into the limo.
âItâs going to be a long night,â Tony looked to me with angry, disappointment and sadness in his eyes.
âYeah, but we will get through it and then everything will be better,â I smiled. I had decided something big while I was getting the treatment of a life time today.
âAnd whyâs that?â He asked confused.
âBecause I decided that tonight is the night that I finally break up with Ian. I am done being used by him. You have taught me that I can be so much more and I owe my life to you, Tony. I would give anything to be with you. As long as you promise to stay by my side,â I breathed.
âAlways,â I had never seen him smile to big in my entire time knowing him. âI would do anything to make you mine.â
âI know,â I smiled brightly back at him. âTrust me I know.â
Then I let him help me into the limo and he followed behind me. He sat in between Lupa and I and we headed off for Ianâs house.
When we picked Ian up no one got out, no one moved we just waited for him to get in and sit down at me side and then we were off again.
Travis and Felix were messing with each other and Julie and Hannah were laughing at them. Tony was in a deep discussion with Lupa and neither ne seemed to be enjoying it.
I only caught little bits like âShe will be mineâ and âyouâre risking too muchâ. It all seemed to e the same thing shooting back and forth between them.
Suddenly Ianâs hand was on my thigh and I was pulled with a shock from the conversation.
âWhat happened to you these last days?â He asked calmly only seeming upset.
âI was with Julie and Hannah. We were preparing for the dance,â I tried to stay calm.
âYou scared me. I couldnât get in touch with you and your mom wasnât answering me either. I didnât even know if you were alright,â He sighed taking my hands in his.
He seemed so sincere. This boy had a marvelous way of playing games with my mind.
âIâm sorry,â I lied. âI didnât mean to scare you or hurt you. I have just been so busy,â I smiled at him.
âYeah, I get that. Just donât do that to me again, okay?â He begged placing his hand against my cheek.
âPromise,â I breathed and then he pressed his lips to mine.
The rest of the ride I stayed quiet. Tony was sulking shooting quick glares as an annoyed Lupa and the rest of them, including Ian, were acting like normal teenagers on prom night. They were excited and laughing and talking. I wish I could join, but I just kept watching Ian. It was like the quiet before the storm and I was terrified because I had been down this road before. I had sat through the silence and let the storm hit me full force. I knew they after affects and what he could do to me, but this time I was extra scared because I knew, one hundred percent, that he was actually pissed under this façade. I still had the texts to prove it.
So as he laughed and joked around I watched him waiting and waiting and only growing tenser with every moment.

Tonyâs POV
I got into the limo and I sat between the two most beautiful women I had ever encountered in my life. I was ready to jump with joy at the little piece of information Dawn just enlightened me with.
Was this is? Were all my dreams coming true? Would I finally be able to be with my mate for forever?
âI heard what she said. I just want you to understand it doesnât change a thing,â Lupa whispered to me.
âThis changes everything. She will be mine,â I argue.
âI told you before I never wanted to interfere with your mating,â Lupa rolled her eyes.
âBut to me you were an option in I was forced to wait much longer. A day will be nothing. I will not ruin what I have with her when I am so close . . .â
âYouâre risking too much!â She snapped.
âNo you just want what you want . . . well it is time you learn you canât always get what you want. For once my family is saying fuck you Luna!â I growled. âI have had enough of her games . . . I have had enough of yours as well. I will be with my mate and no one else. That is final!â I growled.
âFine!â She snapped. âWhen you break her fragile, little body in half because you fucked her too hard donât come crying to me,â Lupa turned away from me.
âHa! I wonât!â I snapped and turned away from her also.
Dawn was tense at mine side so I tried to focus my energy on her. She was watching Ian, biting her lip, as he joked around with Travis and Felix.
That guy was lucking enough that we was able to live this long, but I was not going to ruin this day anymore for Dawn so I left it for another time.
Thankfully tensions relaxed as we pulled up to the banquet hall for the dance. Julie and Hannah, even Lupa, were excited and couldnât wait to get out of the limo.
Dawn watched Ian closely, but also stayed glued to his side as if even an inch of space would piss him off. She was not taking any risks and I was thankful for that.
Now that Ian was here I could no longer focus on Dawn so I helped Lupa out of the car and opened doors for her like my mother taught me too.
The eight of us took up one table so we walked in a sat down. Banter continued, but everyone seemed to relax so I gave in to the happy atmosphere.
âLook, I may not want to be here with you right now, but we are going to have a good time because itâs the teenager thing to do,â I whispered to Lupa.
âSounds good to me,â She smiled up at me.
âGood,â I smiled back.
