"Hey Jenn, we are leaving in 10 — you almost ready?" Azzi smiles peaking her curly head in looking as beautiful as normal, "STOP YOU LOOK SO PRETTY!" She squeals as Nika aslo peeks her head in before entering my room.

"God can i clean up as good as you Midow?!" Nika chuckles giving me a hug from behind as i sit in my chair.

"Stop you two look just as good, maybe even better" I give them a big smile before turning my mirror light off letting out a sigh.

"You okay?" Azzi asks putting her hand on my shoulder.

"Yeah just.." I shake my head before running a hand through my hair, "Hey guys listen i'm sorry for not being home all the time... it's just—"

"Everything's going to be okay... and things wil fall into place— i promise, even if it doesn't feel that way" She smiles giving my shoulder a squeeze before grabbing Nikas arm to finish their tik tok they were making.

I look up in my mirror as a blonde walks by my room slowly before making eye contact with her, "You look really pretty Jenn.." She says softly but before i could answer she was already gone.

I sigh as i get up from my chair before a familiar picture hanging crooked on my wall catches my eyes.

A tapped up picture of Caitlin, Paige and I hung in the middle trying its best to blend with my others..

Paige must have put it there while i was gone..

I give a tight lipped smile as i remember how easy it was when we were kids — before everything else got involved.. Before the feelings came about..

Maybe if i never had feelings for paige this wouldn't have  happened..

Maybe i'm the reason things in my life keep going the way they do..

"Jenna! we are leaving!" Azzi screams from the hall.

"coming!!" She chuckle before grabbing my uniform bag and running out to meet them.

Paige and I being the last two in the house, she looked beautiful her hair straight down as two braids are tightly braided in the front of her head. A more feminine version of the hair she would do for games..

"Thank you.." I whisper finally being able to thank her for earlier as i build up the courage to look up at her.

"you don't need to thank me for things that will always be true five star.." She smiles before putting a hand on my lower back to lead me out of the house.

My heart beats hard at her usual nickname for me,

Five Star.

God i missed her so much.

"Aye the girls are here!" Someone yells as the boys basketball team come rushing towards us.

I smile big as Blake reaches his arms out to hug me rubbing my back softly, "well don't you look gorgeous as ever" he flirts making my cheeks heat as i looking him up and down Uconn basketball jersey and all, "We gotta get a flick together!"

"And out look you? i don't know St. James — can't look as good as number six" I chuckle spinning on my heals in my new jersey.

"Six suits you but..." He smiles before leaning down to whisper in my ear, " 24 looks better on you.." he smirks as he stands up looking behind me— "seems like some people just don't agree though.."

I look over my shoulder only to have blue eyes burning into the back of my head— or more like now Blake's own eyes.

Paige.

"seems like i always will have some competition.."

"I'm not a prize to be won."

"Never said you were—"

"Then there's no competition."

"Not if she doesn't make it."

"Cmon let's go take a picture?" I smile dragging him towards the backdrop laughing as he puts his elbow on-top of my head making me chuckle more as the flash goes off..

Maybe Blake was the right decision..

Maybe Paige and I were only meant to be friends.

Paige

I felt my jaw clench as I watched them interact.. I couldn't help but feel jealousy build in my chest.

The way he gets to hug her— feel the warmth of her skin, see the way her eyes light up at any sight of as basketball.

I wonder if he's gotten used to the smell of her vanilla sent as it almost felt like i smelled her everywhere i go— she never leaves my heart, my thoughts.

I wonder if she leaves his?

I watch as she smiles as she hugs him — a smile i haven't seen in a while, a smile she never gave me since being her.

Do i let her go?

"You know if you keep staring you may burn holes into them two.." KK smirks dribbling the ball before spinning it on her finger as i chuckle at the freshmen.

"Gimmi that!" I lunge forward taking the ball from her.

"Don't get butt hurt now P— your aloud to like someone.."

I look over my shoulder glancing at the two interact..

Was it even like anymore?

I shake my head before looking back at KK—

"That's his territory now.. I don't fuck with things that ain't mine ya heard.." I try to put up a front making KK roll her eyes knocking the ball out of my hand.

"Yeah sure P... hit me up when you got the guts to finally tell yourself your in love with the girl..."

Jenna? No.

Jenna

"Hey Midow come take a picture with us!!" Nika yells making me turn towards the group i live with, Paige included.

"I should —"

"Go look beautiful number 6.." Blake winks before I run towards the group and he runs toward the locker room.

"Whats going on there..." Azzi smirks raising her eye brows teasingly.

"He's just a friend.."

"Hmh girl i see those eyes and his are hungry!"

"Alright let's take the picture!" Paige claps interacting us making me jump.

"Jenna get on Paige's back and i'm going to get on Nina's!" Azzi smiles between the two of us as we look at each other with wide eyes before Paige shrugs.

"hop on !" She chuckles as my hands grip her shoulders and i hop, her hands immediately grabbing the back of my knees softly, "i got you" she whispers over her shoulder as i wrap my arms around her neck.

"Please don't drop me, i forgot how tall you were.." I smile looking at her as she turns to me, us not realizing how close our faces were as we smile to eachother, a flash taking us off guard.

"STOP THATS SO CUTE!" Azzi screams as Paige and I realize that it was just us infront of the drop back, heat raised to my cheeks as i hide my face in Paige's neck in embarrassment as she laughs.

"Cmon fools hop in with us!" She softens the mood as Azzi and Nika jump in next to us.

Azzi

"I'll be right back! i forgot my phone in the locker room!" I scream towards the girls as i jog to our lockers only to met with a hard chest.

"Oh fuck— Blake?" I question as he walks out of OUR locker room, "what are you doing in the girls locker room.."

He chuckles scratching the back of his neck, "oh- i-um i was looking for Jenn..."

My eyebrows come together in confusion, knowing damn well he just saw Jenn getting ready for her headshots.

"She's still in the gym? what makes you think she came out here?" I point out to the gym where Jenna and Paige sat next to eachother without saying a word to each other. I put my hands on my hips trying to piece together what sneaky plan he has up his sleeve.

"oh! must have missed her then, i should get going.." He smirks walking past me— his shoulder bumping mine hard throwing me slightly off balance before he turns to me again, "Whatever you think your doing Blake i'm telling you she'll fine out sooner or later."

"What exactly would i be doing Fudd.."

"Jenna's not someone you want to play around with— she's not an object or one of your little toys!"

He chuckles deviously before looking at me with dark eyes.

"tell Jenna i'll see her at home"

Home?

"what?"

"oh she didn't tell you?"

"what are you talking about?"

He smirks looking me up and down giving me a bad gut feeling.

"You look good in your uniform Azzi.. you should show out more often.." He winks before turning to go to his locker room.

what was he doing in here...
