Evelynn nodded to Davis, causing him to be intrigued.

He knew the three hexes, Collapsing Hex, Sealing Hex and Poison Hex were the innate hexes of the Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid. Evelynn learned many other hexes in her pursuit to cure Clara and in those moments, she had the idea of using her primary hexes as a base to build on the strength of her other hexes.

She cast a weak hex to test the waters and pushed it towards the Metenoa Family Autarch's soul sea. Without much of a resistance, it latched on to the latter's soul sea, embedding itself in the soul essence.

It didn't matter if Metenoa Family's Autarch went as far as to erase his memories. The hex would still activate if he broke the karmic condition imposed upon him.

The same goes for Davis's Judgment Laws. The only difference was that he couldn't actively control the person's movements while Evelynn can but the damage he could inflict was way worse than what Evelynn could inflict even if she used her Collapse Hex.
