Chapter 3828 Creating A Slave Spy?

Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3828 Creating A Slave Spy?

"I, Metenoa Arlain, promise to never raise a hand against Davis Loret and his people. If I do, I am aware of the consequences and will commit suicide as ordained. I hereby declare my solemn loyalty to you and if I were to go against my words, may the heavens smite me."

Soon, Autarch Metenoa knelt before Davis and kowtowed, pledging his allegiance to Davis.

Davis had told Autarch Metenoa his name as the other party would eventually come to know of it and felt that it was better for him to connect better instead of doubting and asking around.

Now, Autarch Metenoa didn't suspect that he was an Anarchic Divergent at all. However, he understood that he had met incredible exceptions that blew away his common sense.

He simply figured that these people were supreme geniuses from the Greater Realm which he had never gone to.

Although he had never heard of such powerful beings, who knew exactly what was going on in the Greater Realm or the First Layer?

"The heavens don't punish people for swearing an oath at your level, do they?"

"There's no record of a sudden lightning strike falling on an Autarch like me but our next tribulation will become difficult." Autarch Metenoa obediently answered.

He trembled but he seemed to be suppressing his long-driven habit of looking down on anyone below the Autarch Stage.

Davis nodded.

The transcendents seemed to be struck by lightning at the time they expected the least if they were to break their oath that was sworn with the heavens as the witness. From this, he could see that the Transcendent Cultivation Method was more heaven-oriented instead of going against it.

But that didn't mean the Immortal Cultivation Method was something that went against the heavens. It was more likely neutral.

If there was a cultivation method that went against the heavens, then he only knew one which was the World Master's Cultivation Method which had its own stages and complexity.

Nonetheless, Davis could sense a string of karmic sins befalling Autarch Metenoa.

The other party was unaware of it or maybe was too scared and confused to notice but it seems like it was foolish for him to swear to not raise a hand against an Anarchic Divergent right beside the heavens.

Davis's gaze flashed.

"Are you even capable of making it to the next level considering you've been stuck here for the last tens and thousands of years?"

Autarch Metenoa's expression changed, "You-!"

However, he instantly realized his mistake and bowed his head.

"Master, I'm a genius in the art of runes but some people didn't like my growth and decided to erase me. I had no choice but to escape because I came from a poor background. Otherwise, I would've reached Level Six at the very least!"

He returned his gaze and pumped his fist as he protested.

"Besides, there's little to no resources here for an Autarch to grow. I can't go outside and show myself much since it is possible my enemies would locate me."

Davis said, his voice full of benevolence.

However, Autarch Metenoa could not hear it as anything but a demon's cackling.

Soon, Davis obtained three Autarch Grade Healing Pills. This was more useful than most treasures he could find right now as he was lacking the ability to heal injuries at the Empyrean or Autarch level.

Everlight was a Level Four Immortal Emperor Beast, so even she could only barely do it right now. She needed to reach at least Level Five Immortal Emperor Beast Stage to heal at that level and needed to be at Level Six Immortal Emperor Beast Stage to be fully capable.

Unfortunately, she couldn't enter the Level Seven Immortal Emperor Stage for the moment as that would invite heavenly tribulation. After all, a magical beast tends to undergo their heavenly tribulation every minor stage, which was once at the beginning of the stage, beginning of the mid stage and beginning of the late stage.

Autarch Metenoa digested the healing pill and began to reclaim his health. His arm quickly regenerated and his wounds were stitched back. One reason was that the decay energy had dispersed. The other reason was that the ice energy no longer impeded the body's own recovery.

Soon, Autarch Metenoa fully recovered. However, only his body healed and not his soul.

He groggily stood up, feeling his head continuously ache.

"Master, I must say your exquisite group did quite a number on me. Is there any way to heal my soul? If not, I'm going to not be able to seclude myself and concentrate on developing more runes. I'd rather stay secluded than have to do anything with the world the way things are."

He rubbed his head, pleading as he looked sleepy.

Davis felt that he wasn't faking it. He and Evelynn did play with Autarch Metenoa's soul, so it was a miracle that he didn't turn insane in the first place but they chalked that up to their own competence.

After all, if they weren't competent, then Autarch Metenoa wouldn't be alive but dead since they wouldn't be able to subdue him properly in the first place.

"No, you have a lot of work to do as my slave. I'm going to have you form a hidden intelligence network soon, so gather all the resources you can from your coffers."

"Huh?"

"Not only that—" Davis continued, his face devoid of sympathy once again as he gave a long list of do's and don'ts as well as tasks to be performed including the most he needed right now, which was for Autarch Metenoa to hand over all the studies and records he maintained of advancing in the path of Rune Master.

"..."

Autarch Metenoa was speechless over the long list of wants.

He was starting to feel the other party wasn't from a Greater Realm but an invader who came from another Galaxy.

He had heard of humans living in other Galaxies as it wasn't like the human race's birthplace was the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy. It was only in this galaxy that they developed their cultivation method and began to rise up from the Rising Human Lower Realm which was now called the Abandoned Immortal Lower Realm over the cynical outlook of humans to abandon what allowed them to have so much privilege right now instead of being outright livestock for the terrifying magical beasts that once ruled every part of the universe.

Still, Autarch Metenoa guessed it wasn't possible for humans to be this powerful in other Galaxies.

Nonetheless, no matter who these people may be, he certainly recognized that he was at checkmate.

He agreed to every one of Davis's demands as it wasn't humiliating but only made him work like a beggar for the upcoming months and perhaps years.

'Wait... isn't this precisely what humiliation means...?'

Autarch Metenoa's pupils dilated. Was his mind already coping?
