17th September,2019

SUMMER

"So what's goin' on with you and Jahmiel?" Trina asked as painted her toenail. We were all chillin' in Jhene's bedroom.

"That ain't my nigga" Jhene smacked her lips

"Bitch you was boo'd up with his ass for the past weeks"I said

"So, he gives me good dick"she shrugged

"But yo ass jealous when that Lisa girl be talkin' to him" Trina  said as she blew on her nails "I ain't fightin' for yo ass cause that ain't your man" Trina mocked her making Jhene roll her eyes

Someone knocked on Jhene's bedroom door making her look at me "Your man is here" she stated

"How you know it's Rashad and not Trey?"

"Cause her rude ass boyfriend is the only one who don't knock" Jhene said referring to Trey. "Come in"

Rah opened the door and poked his head "What's good ya'll"

"Hey" they answered before his eyes fell on me "Can I holla at you real quick?" he asked me. I nodded as I came off Jhene's bed.

"Ouuu girll get yo man" Trina said as she smacked my butt as I passed her. I blushed as I followed him out of Jhene's room.

"Come on " he took my hand in his and lead me in his room. He opened the door and I walked in and he closed the door behind us."Come here mamas"he said looking at me as he bit his lip between his teeth. I slowly walked toward him and he leaned forward and gently pulled me close to him. He sat me down on his lap and my cheeks were burning red. "I missed you"he said and I looked at him. Since that night when we kissed, this was me and Rashad. We would spend more time together. We kissed now and then. I t was like we were together. "So I figure that since I'm missing you, Imma just come and take you away from the girls for a while." He smirked

I laughed as I held his face "You so rude"

He chuckled "From what I heard, I'm respectful that Trey "he said and in a swift motion he flipped us so he was hovering over me. When I tell you my heart was beating so fast. Being around Rashad made me so nervous, I looked at him as he kissed along my jawline as his hand caressed the skin beneath my shirt. He slowly traced my jawline to my neck with his tongue and my skin twitched under his touch. God he was so intoxicating. He came up to my ear "Be my girl Summer" he softly said and pulling back and looking me in my eyes. I bit my lip looking at him and nodded. He took that as a sign and he connected our lips. His lips were soft, he kissed me so much passion making me feel alive. Then and there I had realised I had fallen in love with Rashad.

NEXT DAY AT SCHOOL

18th September,2019

SUMMER

"Have you heard from Trina?" I asked and Jhene shook her head no

"I tried callin' her phone and it's off" Jhene said "I hope she's ok"

"Let's go by her house after school" I stated and Jhene nodded her head

Since last night when Trina left Jhene's house we never heard from her again. We tried calling her phone but she didn't answer. I just  hope she's ok but after school we were about to find out

(after school)

Jhene and I pulled up in front of Trina's house. I immediately felt sad when I saw Trina's house. It was basically falling apart. I remember Trina told me that her mother was a drug addict and that's why she works to help out even though Trey takes care of her. "You ready?" Jhene looked over at me and I nodded. We got out of the car and made our way to the door and knocked on it. Trina opened the door making me and Jhene's eyes widen when we saw her. Trina had bruises on her skin, her clothes had specs of blood, her hair was a mess and her eye was swollen.

My heart fell to my feet "Oh my god" I gasped. This explains the burn she had on her lower back the other day and she blamed the stove for it.

"Trina what happened to you!?" Jhene exclaimed

"Nothing" Trina said quickly "You guys need to go I'm fine"she said as she tried to push us off her  front step.

"No we ain't leaving your ass!" I shouted "Your skin is bruised Trina, is someone hitting you?"

"No please" she pleaded as tears began to fall on her face "Please go before-"

"I didn't know we had company darling" We heard and we spun around to see a lady who was nicely dressed with a man next to her. His blood shot eyes scanned my body up and down as he ran his tongue over his lips making my blood crawl.

"T-t-they were just leaving mom"Trina stammered. It was clear that she was scared of them. "Goodbye guys" she said with more tears falling down her face before she turned and went inside.

"Trina-" but Jhene cut me off

"Lets go" she said giving me the eye since Trina's mother and the man was still standing there. I sighed and began to go back to the car.

"Bye girls" her mother shouted and we ignored her.

"Jhene we can't leave her there, they're beating her!" I said as I felt my eyes getting watery as we drove off. Trina was always so happy and cheerful, how can someone try and hurt her? How can she be so happy when she was being hurt?

"I'm gonna tell Trey" Jhen said as she wiped a lone tear that had escaped. "He need to  save her asap"

"What the fuck you mean she had bruises!!"Trey shouted as his eyes were dark and hard. He was beyond mad and I was getting scared because I never saw him like that. He was cheerful like Trina but a more serious version

"They beating her, You need to go now" Jhene said

"Bet" was all he said as he went into the kitchen and came back with a gun. I tried to remain calm and not panic with it being my first time around guns.

Rashad tapped my thigh to letting me know he was about to get up because I was sitting on his lap. He took a gun from Trey and put it in their waist.

"Lets go."

Trey and Rashad sat infront while Jhene and I sat in the back. The car was  full of tension as Trey mashed gas. We were basically going  220 in the streets of the hood. We had finally pulled up and the boys cocked back their guns and got out. "Stay here. We will be back aight" Rashad told me as he put his head through the back window and kissed me then they went inside.

RASHAD

We entered the house and the place was quiet and dark. The house were trashed like someone threw stuff all over. There was broken glass every where.  We walked up the stairs slowly and opened a door revealing her mother and a man knocked out on the bed. Her mother had a needle next to her.  Trey jaw clenched as he looked at her mother "My baby better be alright other wise Imma kill her ass" he muttered with nothing but venom in his voice, before closing the door.

We walked down the hallway quietly to the other room. We opened the door revealing Trina curled up in a ball in a corner of her room crying. She looked up and  and saw us. Trina had busted lip, black eye and her skin were filled with bruise marks. I can tell that the sight of Trina looking like this fucked with Trey's mental deeply. He walked towards her and picked her.

Trina broke down crying in his arms. "Don't leave me please" she begged holding onto his shirt. His eyes were glassy "It's ok ma I got you" he said softly stroking her hair. He had hurt in his eyes which I understood, because his girl was getting hurt right in front of his face and he didn't even notice. She never even told him. We began to make our way back to the car but Trey stopped "Here take her" he said as he gave me Trina. He dug into his waist taking out his gun and cocked it back turning back around to go back up the stairs.

"Don't do it"I said  making him stop in his tracks. "You gotta let her heal first then she can decide if she wants her mother dead or not. Next thing you kill her and Trina gets upset. That's still her mother and believe it or not Trina still got love for that woman. That's why she stayed so many years with her" I said

Trey took a deep breath and turned to me. He was crying, I never saw him like this. Trey was always a monster but today I saw another side of him. "How the fuck am I suppose to keep them alive if they been hurting my baby, just look at fucking her!" he shouted crying  "That hoe upstairs deserves to die!!" he broke down.

I understood him "Listen bro you got your girl now. We all make mistakes, but now you know you'll  try your best to protect her. Trina is still alive and she is still yours" I said  "Just take good care of her now"

"Gimme my baby" Trey said and I smirked and handed him back Trina who was now sleeping.

"Let's go bro"I threw my arms around him and we walked out the house.
