THE WEEKEND (SATURDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER, 2019)

SUMMER

"Yeah girl he insisted on these therapy sessions, so I gotta attend it sorry Summ." Trina apologized.

I was currently on the phone with Trina asking if she was free to got to the mall with me today. Today is Rashad and I first date and I was calling the girls to see if they were free to go to the mall with me. Trina had some threapy session to attend with Trey to help her cope with her issues with her mother and Jhene had to go to school to assist in tutoring students for the next three Saturdays as punishment for  the fight that had taken place.

"Its cool. I hope it goes well" I responded before we said our good byes then hung up. "Ugghh" I grunted as I threw myself back  onto my bed.

"What you gruntin' n shit about?" My aunt asked as she stood in my door way.

"I have a date with Rashad tonight and I wanted to go to the mall but none of my friends are available to go with me"

She clapped her hands "ouuu you and that boy finally stopped playin games with eachother and made it official" I laughed at her actions "How bout I go with you? I'm not going to work today."

My eyes widen "Yes that'll be great"

Aunt Camille smiled "Ok I'll go get ready" I nodded then quickly slipped on a pair black legging with tank top and fluffy slippers. My hair was a mess, it was natural and poofy. I was still insecure about my hair but the wigs be saving me that shame eventhough they made me feel hot at times. I placed a beanie on my head to hide my hair until when I reach back home I'll flat iron my hair for the date. I went down the stairs to meet my aunt.

"Meds" she reminded me as she gave me my pill bottles I nodded and took them. "You ready?"she asked

"Yeah lets go "

We locked up the house and was off to the mall.

JHENE

"Hey sorry I'm late" I apologized as I walked in the class where the tutors for Math was tutoring the students.

The principal Mr.Mac looked at me crossed eyed "The least you can do is reach here on time Ms. Parker"

I sighed "I know"

"Every time you turn up late  to these tutoring sessions you will be getting an extra Saturday. So be here early or have more Saturdays taken away" he demanded "Take a seat and the other student that walks in here is your student until your saturdays are up"

I nodded and rolled my eyes as I made my way to a seat at the back close to the window. My thought began to run on Jahmiel. Since that evening he has been  calling and trying to get in touch with me but I ignored him. I wasn't a girl to play games with, having a bitch fightin' n shits.

"I'm guessing you gon be my tutor"I heard  a familiar voice say. I looked up to lock eyes with the same guy who had knocked over my juice with the ball.

I chuckled as I looked at him "All this stalkin' just for a name?"I joked. He chuckled as he brought a chair and sat next to me. He was brown skinned with waves and He had the deepest dimples. I ain't even gon front but he made a bitch blush just lookin at him.

"Guess the universe is on my side" he shrugged then put out his hand out "Dante"

I looked at his hand then shook it "Jhene"

He smiled as he bit his lip making my heart beat speed up "Pretty name"

"I'm not seeing any books out yet" the principal shouted across the classroom looking in our direction. I rolled my eyes and pulled out my math text book

"So what are your issues?"I asked

He sat back in his chair as he nervously scratched the back of his neck "Ummm"

I laughed "Please don't tell me the whole syllabus" he looked at me with a knowing look "Well let's start now cause we got a long journey ahead of us"I stated as i flipped to the first page.

SUMMER

"What about this?" I asked as i showed my Aunt a long blue dress.

She scrunched up her face "Is this a date or church?"she asked making me laugh "come on"she dragged me to the other side of the store which had short dresses, cute tops, jeans, full body suits and rompers.

"Try this"she gave me multiple pieces of clothing. I went into the dressing room as she looked for more clothes. I placed the clothing on a hook in the room as I began to remove my clothing.

"OMG this shorts is to die for"I heard a familiar voice say.

"Yess it's a must have" I heard another familiar voice say.

I became excited, it was my friends from Jade Hills, Jessica and Emily. I quickly placed back on my clothes  and came out to meet them. Jessica was standing outside on her phone and i assume Emily was in the dressing room.

"Hey" I said and her eyes left her phone and looked up at me and began to smile making me smile back widely smiled.

My best friends were here and I can introduce them to Trina and Jhene so we can be a best friend  group.

"I'm so excited to see-" Jessica held a finger up cutting off my speech as she leaned and knocked on Emily's dressing room door.

" Emily the store assistant is here, do you still want a size up?" Jessica said and my smiled disappeared.

"Oh hell no" my aunt voice said from behind me "Listen up jimmy neutron, now i damn well know you saw that girl just came out the dressing room, not because she is black means that she works here. So don't start acting like yo ass got no common sense cause i will more than be happy to knock your senses back in if you ever had any"

Jessica stood there with her mouth wide open in surprise "Come on lets go somewhere else, too much white trash is on the floor here" My aunt said as she took my hand and with that we left. It took everything in me not to cry.

How can they do that to me? I thought they were my friends? I thought they were genuinely nice apparently the only reason why they were my friend were because of my standards in my past life.

"What make you talk to those girls?" Aunt Camille questioned as we entered another store

"Its complicated" I simply answered. It was amazing how much I learned and experienced in the little time I spent here. I began looking around the store when my phone began to ring, it was Rashad.

I smiled "Hello"

He chuckled and I immediately imagine him licking his lips "What you on today beautiful?"

My stomach began to flutter as i smiled "I'm just here, at the mall gettin' a few stuff " I responded trying to hide that I was shopping for our date  tonight.

"Oh you tryna look good for daddy later?"he smirked

I rolled my eyes blushing "No" I lied while laughing

"Mhm I hear you, you want me to pick you up from the mall after or you g?"he asked

"Nah I'm here with my aunt"

"Aight cool tell her good day for me. I gotta go now ok babygirl"

"Yeah boo later"

"Gimme kiss" he demanded

I sent a kiss for him thru the phone "Thanks sweetheart"he said right before he hung up.

"Not even I can make yo ass smile like that" my aunt came beside me as she looked through the racks of clothing near me. I blushed "Rashad may be a lil rough around the edges but he is good people" I nodded in agreement as I smiled thinking about him.

He really was something.

JHENE

"So next weekend we will focus on trigonometry" I said as Dante and I  walked into the school parking lot because tutoring was done for the day.

He stopped and face me "Thank you" he said "I know I may be a lot to work with for math but-"

"Nah you cool. You ain't as bad as you think" I cut him off and he smiled showing his cute ass dimples

"I feel for you Jhene since the first time I saw you on the lawn with your friends." He licked his lips looking down at me  "But as I spent time with you, I can see the reason you keep running"

I bit my lip nervously as I looked up him "Whats that?"

"Yo ass confused cause you broken."He stated simply. "But I'm willing to fix you cause you got that energy I wanna be around" I began blushing looking down

His finger tips gently touched the side of my face and he lift my head by my chin "Imma take my time with you, cause you special" he said. He leaned down and kissed my forehead "Ill see you at school on Monday aight" and with that he turned on his heels and walked away. I stood there dumbfounded watching him walk away.

Damn Dante

I turned to go to my car and stopped in my tracks when I saw Jahmiel leaning against it. I knew he saw everything because as I neared closer i could see the darkness in his eyes, the clench of his jaw and his hands were fist.

"Is that what we on now" he asked with anger in his voice. I ignored him as I opened my car door for him to slam it closed.

"Jahmiel please leave me alone"

"Who that nigga Jhene? I love yo ass and we get into one fight and you out here being a hoe" My eyes widen and he realized what he said because his eyes became soft and he quickly began to apologise. "Im sorry Jh-"

"Get the fuck away from me!" I shouted "You callin me a hoe when I was loyal waitin on yo ass. I'm only fucking with u while you was  fucking with me and Lisa hoe ass and you have the audacity to call me hoe. Nigga fuck yo punk ass"

"Babe-"

"Dont babe me Jah, Im fucking done with you. I don't want you to control me anymore. I made a mistake fuckin with yo grown ass" I said in disgust as I opened the car door and hopped in. I sped off leaving him standing there.
