Shen Yan then returned to her apartment. Just as she was discussing with Chen Nian about what to eat for dinner, she heard someone knocking on the door.

Chen Nian went to check and saw that it was Lin Nan. She said in a low voice, “Come in!” “Who is it?” Shen Yan was currently sitting cross-legged on the sofa and playing a game. She had just finished a match. Just then, she tilted her head and saw Lin Nan. The smile on her face faded instantly and she stood up. “Secretary Lin?”

“Miss Shen, Miss Chen, I’m really sorry to disturb you at this hour.” Lin Nan could feel the change in Shen Yan’s mood. Yet, he could only brace himself to come here as he really had no other choices.

Fu Hang was a stubborn person, and no one could persuade him to change his mind. Besides, Lin Nan was just a secretary. He couldn’t just blatantly state his opinion to Fu Hang no matter what. “What’s the matter?” Shen Yan asked indifferently. Although she didn’t like Fu Hang, she couldn’t directly vent her anger on Secretary Lin.

Seeing Shen Yan’s cold attitude, Chen Nian smiled and said, “Secretary Lin, come and sit down!”

Secretary Lin thanked her, but he didn’t sit down. His gaze fell on Shen Yan and asked, “Miss Shen, can I ask you for a favor?” “A favor?” Shen Yan raised her eyebrows slightly and responded with a smile, “Secretary Lin has always been very competent. What is there I can help you with?”.

Secretary Lin lowered his eyes and pondered for some time. Then, he braced herself and explained, “President Fu has a 40 degrees fever now, but he’s lying in his apartment and doesn’t want to go to the hospital. I-I hope you can help persuade President Fu. After all, he listens to you.” When Shen Yan heard what Secretary Lin said, she could not help but laugh. “I’m sorry, Secretary Lin. I have just recovered from a serious illness. Chen Nian stood at the side and threw Lin Nan a look. However, Lin Nan’s attention was completely on Shen Yan and did not notice her at all.
