Chapter 45 - 45 Forcing Her to Leave

The next afternoon, Shen Yan was reading a script at her company. Many endorsements and production teams started approaching her due to her currently high popularity.

Although Shen Yan’s reputation was not the best, she was very particular about her endorsements and scripts. She wanted to be an actress, not a celebrity who rose to fame through the internet.

Just then, Shen Yan received a call from Miss Na. She thought that she misheard after learning that Old Master Fu was looking for her. Shen Yan realized she heard correctly after Miss Na repeated it over the phone again.

She did not want to see Old Master Fu at all, but she had no choice but to meet him, as he had already arrived at the company.

Shen Yan had not seen Old Master Fu for some time since her divorce from Fu Hang.

When she was in the Fu family, everyone else in the Fu family, other than Fu Hang’s mother, messed with her in one way or another.

Not to mention, there was her sister-in-law, Fu Xiaoxiao. She stated that Fu Hang would not marry a girl from the countryside, no matter what.

When Shen Yan went to the reception area, she saw Old Master Fu and Fu Xiaoxiao sitting on the couch.

“Shen Yan!” Old Master Fu’s face instantly darkened when he spotted Shen Yan. He pointed at the empty coffee table and snarled, “Is this how your company treats its guests?”

Shen Yan walked to the other side of the couch and sat down. Just as she sat down, an employee brought her a cup of green tea.

As for why Old Master Fu and Fu Xiaoxiao did not have any refreshment, it was entirely due to her instructions. After all, how could she give her things to the Fu family?

“Old Master Fu, you’re wrong about that. Our company treats our guests very well, except that we don’t treat animals who come to dawdle with food and drink.” Shen Yan picked up her green tea and took a sip. “Old Man Fu?!” Fu Xiaoxiao’s mind was filled with these three words. She looked at Shen Yan in disbelief and said furiously, “How can you disrespect Grandpa!”

“There is no need for me to follow the rules of a brute family!” As Shen Yan spoke, her right leg was elegantly crossed on her left leg. She stared at Fu Xiaoxiao without turning her eyes away.

Old Master Fu suppressed the anger in his heart. The doctor had instructed him to not get too emotional. His eyes swept over the cup placed in front of Shen Yan. The aroma of green tea emanated from the cup, he could tell just by the scent that the green tea was of excellent quality.

“It’s only been a while, and you have already forgotten the rules of the Fu family. You must serve tea for your guests!” Old Master Fu really wanted to drink that tea. After all, it was very fragrant.

Shen Yan knew that Old Master Fu loved tea. She picked up the tea slowly and finished it before putting the cup back after seeing him stare at her cup. “Old Man Fu, go to the mall and buy some tea if you want some. Don’t go putting on an act here!”

Shen Yan was stunned for a moment. She chuckled as she seemed to think of something, and asked in return, “Do you think I’m playing hard to get with Fu Hang?”

“Shen Yan, didn’t you want to shame Lin Xing and the Fu family back then? I’m telling you, you’d better not come back since you’re already divorced. Our family doesn’t welcome you!” Just then, Old Master Fu remembered how Fu Hang had defended Shen Yan in front of him. He frowned and uttered coldly, “State your price!”
