Chapter 80 - Hiring Someone to Kill Her

Shen Yan dared to guarantee that if Lin Xing had gone into acting, she would not have gotten the Best Actress Award.

“Long time no see. So, you’re not pretending to have gone crazy anymore?” Shen Yan had a faint smile on her face as she looked at Lin Xing.

A trace of anger flashed across Lin Xing’s eyes. If Shen Yan had not put the pool incident on the internet, she would not have to pretend to be crazy to stay in the Fu family.

But now, she could not disobey Old Master Fu’s words. The only thing she could do was to act as a knife in Old Master Fu’s hands.

She was originally quite famous in the entertainment industry back then. However, she could only keep her tail between her legs in the Fu family because of her husband’s death.

As Lin Xing looked at Shen Yan, who had become better after leaving the Fu family, a trace of hatred flashed in her eyes. However, she quickly disguised herself and said with an innocent face, “Shen Yan, what happened that night wasn’t me.”

The smile on Shen Yan’s face widened, but it was an insincere one.

The “that night” that Lin Xing was referring to was the night when she was hit by a car.

Shen Yan shook the wine glass in her hand gently and walked to Lin Xing in her high heels. She piqued, “Which night?”

When she was at the Fu family earlier, Old Master Fu came to tell her that Shen Yan had already known that she was the one who instructed the driver to hit Shen Yan with the car. Thus, Lin Xing came over to apologize.

However, she suddenly remembered something after seeing Shen Yan’s expression. Shen Yan had always thought that it was Fu Xiaoxiao who hired someone to hit her. It seemed that she was sold by Old Master Fu to whitewash Fu Xiaoxiao.

A trace of viciousness flashed across Lin Xing’s eyes. However, she quickly regained her composure and explained hurriedly, “I’m referring to the night that I fell into the water.”

“Is that so?” The corners of Shen Yan’s lips curled up slightly. She looked at Lin Xing with a faint smile and continued, “I thought you have instructed someone to hit me with a car.”

Lin Xing’s face turned pale.

“At that time, Fu Xiaoxiao did find someone to hit me. Nevertheless, she only wanted to let that person destroy my car. Instead, you found that person and asked him to run me over.” Shen Yan saw Lin Xing’s panicked look, and the smile on her face deepened. “Do you think I won’t find out?”

Lin Xing looked around and saw that there was no one around, so she became bolder. She blurted sarcastically, “That’s right! I was the one who got someone run you over, but unfortunately, you didn’t die.”

Shen Yan took a sip of wine and stared at Lin Xing.

Lin Xing continued, “Shen Yan, you’re a failure, and so am I. I’ll tell you the whole story plainly for the sake of both of us being failures!”

Shen Yan’s expression froze.

“Back then, Fu Hang really didn’t like you. He married you to put you in the open and protect the woman he loved.”

Lin Xing’s smile grew even brighter. “It’s true that he didn’t have any improper thoughts about me, but there was someone he cared about. Since you’re divorced, I don’t think you will be sad. I’ll just let you know that he married you because he listened to the words of the woman he loved.”

Shen Yan’s hand gripping the wine glass tightened involuntarily. However, the corners of her lips were still upturned. She inquired with a cold smile, “Are you finished?”

“Aren’t you curious about whom he likes?” Lin Xing felt that Shen Yan was a little strange.

“I’m not curious. I’ll take it as if those three years of my youth were fed to the dogs,” Shen Yan said, placing her wine glass over Lin Xing’s head. The red wine flowed down Lin Xing’s hair, to her face and clothes. “Besides, the person who bullied me is suffering, I’m not losing out at all.

Shen Yan recalled the outrageous things that the Fu family had done to her. She was going to get back at them bit by bit until she crushed the entire Fu family.

Lin Xing was drenched in red wine. She shivered from the cold and looked at Shen Yan incredulously. Her eyes were filled with hatred as she scowled, “How dare you treat me like this. Aren’t you afraid that I’ll target you?”
