The corners of Chen Nian’s mouth rose involuntarily. She smiled and replied, “No, he made them.”

Shen Yan looked at Chen Nian curiously. When she saw that Chen Nian blushing, she instantly understood and said, “Is it Officer Yu?”

“Yes, he’s done with his work and had the day off. He heard me mentioning that you were sick, so he prepared some food and sent it over to bribe you!” Chen Nian’s face was brimming with a bright smile. She looked like she was deep in love.

“I have no objections as long as you like him.” Shen Yan did not have to worry about Chen Nian being bullied at all, because Chen Nian was the one who bullied others in her impression. “Why didn’t you ask him to come over to eat with you when he sent food over?”

“I won’t be eating with you today. You’ll eat by yourself. I’ll go out and have a wonderful evening with him.”

After Chen Nian said that, she got up with a smile. She looked at the time and said, “Miss Na will be here soon. I’m very relieved to have her with you. If you need anything, just call me directly.”

“Okay.” Shen Yan smiled and agreed. After sending Chen Nian off, she sat down by the couch and started to eat.

Just then, the phone on the hospital bed rang. Shen Yan walked over and picked up the phone. She answered without even looking at it, “Hello?”

“How are you doing?”

A pleasant male voice came from the other side of the phone.

Shen Yan was stunned for a moment, she then realized that it was Lu Yan calling. She swallowed the food in her mouth and said, “I’m fine.”

“Are you sick?” Lu Yan frowned and asked worriedly.

“I’m already feeling much better.” Shen Yan had slept all day and received an IV, so she was indeed feeling much more comfortable.

“Where are you now?” Lu Yan continued asking.

Shen Yan came back to her senses, fully swallowing the food in her mouth. She replied with a smile, “I’m eating. I’m hanging up now!”

After saying that, Shen Yan hung up the phone with much enthusiasm.

Not long after, Shen Yan heard a knock on the door and thought that Miss Na had arrived. She called out, “Come in.”

Lu Yan came in from the outside with a thermal box. He saw Shen Yan sitting on the bed playing with her phone.

“You should get more rest.” Lu Yan walked up to Shen Yan and put the thermos box on the bedside table smoothly.

Hearing Lu Yan’s voice, Shen Yan was dumbfounded for a moment. She looked up at Lu Yan and blinked in confusion. “Why are you here?”

Lu Yan took off his mask and sunglasses and looked at Shen Yan with a smile, saying, “I had an activity near the hospital today. I was about to go back after work, but I heard that your voice wasn’t right, so I called Miss Na and asked for your ward number.”

Shen Yan sat up straight with some discomfort and said with a smile, “Miss Na is making a big deal out of it. I’m actually fine.”

“I’ve brought you some porridge. You can eat them later.” Lu Yan sat at the side naturally and stood guard next to Shen Yan.

“I’m really fine. Why don’t you go back first?” Shen Yan smiled and looked at Lu Yan, proposing cautiously.

Lu Yan smiled and replied, “Okay, I’ll come to pick you up tomorrow when you discharge from the hospital.”

After Lu Yan left, Miss Na came. Shen Yan said somewhat helplessly, “Miss Na, I’m really fine. Don’t say anything to Lu Yan about me being sick in the future.”

Miss Na smiled and agreed. However, she was thinking about calling Lu Yan over when Shen Yan gets discharged tomorrow.

Miss Chen and her had always thought that Film Emperor Lu was the right man for Shen Yan.

Shen Yan’s head was still hurting a little, so she lay down to sleep again.

Not knowing how long she slept, when Shen Yan woke up, she saw that Lu Yan was standing by her bed.
