Chapter 121
Reborn Before The Divorce
âNina, sheâs not in the room. Where did she go?â
âI donât know. She said not to bother her when she came back and went to her room. Did you check the bathroom?â
âI did. Sheâs nowhere to be found.â
It was strange. Where could she have gone after coming back home and not being in her room? Willette searched all over the house for Nydia.
Hearing the commotion outside, Nydia quietly opened the study door a crack. She was startled when she saw Willetteâs back, but she knew this was her chance. She slipped out of the study and deliberately sneezed as she closed the door behind her.
âAh-choo!â It conveniently masked the sound of the door locking.
Willette heard the noise and turned around to see Nydia standing behind her. âNydia, where did you go? I couldnât find you anywhere.â
âOh, I went to the storage room to get something,â Nydia sneezed again. âIt was quite dusty in there.â Willette saw her like this and didnât suspect that she had entered the study. The Malones all knew that Cadeâs study was locked and couldnât be accessed without a key.
âWhat were you looking for in the storage room? Why didnât you ask the maid to look for it?â
âI was looking for the old recipe books. Itâs strange, I couldnât find them.â
âYou couldnât find them? Oh well, forget about it. But why did you suddenly want to look for recipe books?â Willette felt guilty because she had already taken the recipe books.
âJust wanted to cook at home. Otherwise, Iâd be bored.â
As she mentioned this, Willette immediately took Nydia back to her room.
âNydia, let me ask you something. Is it true that Jesse is impotent? Iâve been thinking about it these past few days. How could this happen? He slept with you once and then you got pregnant with twins. What happened afterwards?â
âSis, donât you remember? You gave me that medicine. Iâve been adding it to his coffee all this time. According to your instructions, everything is fine,â Nydia kindly reminded her.
âThat medicine! I remember now, I remember now. Youâve been giving it to him all along?â Willette began to doubt it. The efficacy of that medicine was a lie she told Nydia, it would only cause Jesse to suffer from chronic poisoning.
Could that medicine really have that effect?
âYou two⦠did not sleep together afterwards?â she hesitated before asking.
Nydia shook her head, âNo.â
âSister, thanks to the medicine you gave me, otherwise, I would have been bullied.â Nydia looked grateful, which made Willette think that Nydia hadnât changed, it was just her own overthinking.
Willette smiled and took Nydiaâs hand, âSo, from now on, Nydia, you have to listen to me. I wonât harm you, and will help you get out of your misery.â
âOkay, I understand. Since my parents had an accident, you have been the best person to me!â
She hated so much in her heart, but her smile on her face was so bright.
She didnât want to confront Willette for the time being.
âSister, how are you and Brother-in-law doing?â
âWeâve made up.â Willette smiled sweetly, âHeâs been good to me again, and weâve cleared up the misunderstanding from before.â
âWhen are you getting married? You should have the wedding as soon as possible. Good men like Brother-in-law are hard to come by, otherwise, someone else might snatch him away.â
âI still want to test him. You know that men nowadays change once they get married.â
However, while Willette said this, she thought she should marry Barclay as soon as possible. Barclay has a successful career, great potential, is handsome and can make her happy. She shouldnât think about Jesse anymore. Whatâs the use of being handsome if he canât change the fact that heâs disabled and has lost his dignity as a man, despite earning so much money?
âNydia, there is a way to make Jesse the target of public criticism!â Willette leaned in close to Nydiaâs ear and whispered in a low voice.
Nydia looked at her in shock, âIs that okay? Jesse will go crazy!â
