Chapter 153
Reborn Before The Divorce
Nydia glanced at the blanket on Jesseâs legs and couldnât tell what was going on, but it seemed to have calmed down.
âMom, Dad, you donât have to worry about me. Iâm fine, and besides, I have two children already, so it really doesnât matter.â
Rosalind couldnât help but give Nydia a sneer when she heard this.
If Tavish didnât look exactly like Jesse, the Pascalls would probably have to do a paternity test, as such suspicions were normal.
âDonât go to tomorrowâs dinner party,â Andrew said.
âI must go,â Jesse said firmly. If he were afraid of criticism, he wouldnât have made this plan.
âThen you go alone, and she canât go with you!â Rosalind had a strong opinion of Nydia and was worried that if she said something wrong tomorrow, Jesse would be embarrassed.
âOkay,â Jesse didnât argue. He didnât want Nydia to show up looking so pretty in front of those snobs anyway. He couldnât handle it, let alone other men.
âWhatâs going on?â Andrew seemed to have some insight and asked Jesse. He had been in the business world for decades and knew some of its twists and turns.
âSomeone wants to mess with me, so Iâll go along with it. Donât worry.â
âYou should have let us know. Your mother was scared to death,â Andrew said.
âMom and Dad, donât worry about my affairs. If you have time, go out and travel to find some happiness for yourselves,â Jesse said.
Rosalind snorted, âYou just want to distract us and not let us make things difficult for Nydia, right?â
Jesseâs gaze turned cold. âSince you know, why burst the bubble?â
This statement gave Rosalind a heart attack on the spot! Her son, whom she had raised, was being taken away like this, and she couldnât stand it.
Rosalind glared fiercely at Nydia again, but Nydia was bitter in her heart and couldnât say anything. The grudges between her and Rosalind couldnât be resolved in a short time. She could only let time prove everything.
Since Andrew and Rosalind were already here, they stayed for lunch together. Nydia took the initiative to cook, and there were plenty of ingredients in the kitchen. She prepared some difficult dishes and showed off her cooking skills, which made the two chefs drool.
âMissus, thereâs a lot of food. Can you leave us some?â
âYes, Missus, it smells so good, itâs making my heart itch.â
âRest assured, I saved some for you,â Nydia said with a smile, giving them a bit of each dish and leaving the two chefs touched.
Now at the Pascall Villa, the two chefs were supporters of Nydia, and no one would go against her when it came to food, especially those who cook.
Nydia and the two chefs brought the dishes to the table. Andrew was a little surprised, and Rosalind unconsciously swallowed her saliva. After all, she still remembered the taste of the last time she had Nydiaâs cooking.
âDad, Mom, Jesse, have some soup first,â Nydia served them soup.
Rosalind, smelling the fragrance of the soup, found it difficult to control herself from reaching for a spoon.
âWhy donât you have it? Did you put something in it?â
Jesse frowned, took a sip of the soup first.
Rosalind was angry and wanted to throw the bowl on the spot.
Nydia picked up the bowl and took a few sips, âIt tastes good, you should try it.â
She reluctantly took a sip and could feel her eyes light up. However, she immediately hid her expression and quietly put down the bowl, âItâs just okay.â
Andrew found the soup delicious, with the flavors of many ingredients and a subtle medicinal aroma, and couldnât resist taking a second sip.
âTry the other dishes. Last time we were in a rush, so I only made a few home-style dishes,â Nydia invited. She had confidence in her cooking skills.
After trying the other dishes, Rosalind became even more worried. Her son was already addicted to Nydiaâs beauty, and now her cooking skills were so good. Her son was in trouble!
