“Nydia, Uncle Albi had a good relationship with your father before. When your father had trouble, Uncle Albi wanted to adopt you.”

“Uncle Cade, don’t worry too much. Just give me a position as a designer’s assistant. I studied design in college,” Nydia said.

Cade was shocked by her words. “A designer’s assistant? That won’t do. You will be bullied. Besides, you are my daughter, how can you be an assistant?”

“If I become a designer as soon as I enter, I won’t be able to gain acceptance. It’s better to start as an assistant,” she continued, “I haven’t worked for these years, and I need time to develop my skills. Besides, with you watching over me, who would dare to bully me, right?”

Albi spoke up at the right time. “It’s a good thing to start as an assistant. Just find a designer with a better temper for her.”

He thought Nydia’s idea was good. It was better to start slowly than to become a designer right away. Having a background but no real skills wouldn’t last long.

“Jesse thinks it’s okay?” Cade asked.

“Well, let her go out and gain some experience,” Jesse said.

Cade agreed since they all had no objections. “Then go to the company in a few days.”

“Okay, thank you, Uncle Cade.”

“No worries. I’m afraid of hurting you.”

“No, no hurt. You’ve been so good to me. If it weren’t for Uncle Cade adopting me, I wouldn’t have a family. The love and warmth you have given me can’t be compared to that money.”

Albi also noticed the money Nydia had mentioned, so he asked, “Money?”

“During the time Uncle Cade adopted me, I felt like I couldn’t just let him adopt me without doing anything in return, so I gave him some of the compensation money.”

Cade’s face became even worse, he didn’t expect Nydia to bring up the compensation money in front of Albi.

When Albi looked over, he immediately said, “She’s just a little girl and I’m worried she won’t be able to handle that much money, so I offered to help her save it.”

“She is very stubborn. I told her she didn’t have to give it to me, but she said if I didn’t accept it, she wouldn’t live with me.” He continued to explain.

Jesse couldn’t help but smirk, but didn’t say anything.

Albi’s gaze swept across the three of them, feeling something was off, especially after the recent news, he suddenly felt like he should investigate more thoroughly.
