Chapter 225
Reborn Before The Divorce
âAre you blaming me for not bringing you food?â Jesse complained that the food in the company was not delicious, so he wanted to eat what she cooked, but he didnât say it out loud. He had been suffering from stomach ache for a while due to his temper.
Jesse pursed his lips and turned to Vergil, scolding him directly, âWho asked you to ask her for stomach medicine!â
Vergil: ââ¦â
Although you are my boss and pay my salary, you canât do this, really, I also have a temper!
âMissus, itâs my fault. I didnât serve the boss food in time, which caused him stomach ache. Blame me!â Nydia said.
âTake the medicine.â She patiently told Jesse.
Jesse took the medicine and swallowed it with water silently after meeting her gaze.
âWait here!â She glared fiercely at both of them and walked towards the kitchen.
Vergil was a little excited, could he eat what Nydia cooked right away?
But as soon as he turned his head, he met Jesseâs gaze, and he felt a chill in his heart. This wasnât good!
As expected!
âYouâve worked hard today. Iâll give you a bonus at the end of the month.â Jesse said.
âThis is what I should do. I should share your burden, Boss.â Vergil replied.
âOkay, you can go off work now.â Jesse said.
âWhat?â Does that mean Iâm useless now?
No way! I wonât leave today! Absolutely not!
âBoss, although you have taken the medicine, what if it doesnât work? I have to stay here to take care of you until your wife comes back.â Vergil said.
âIâm fine.â Jesse said.
âNo, you are not fine.â Vergil said.
Jesseâs eyes suddenly became sharp.
Vergil smiled, âIâm just worried about you. You donât have to worry about me. Iâll sit here quietly.â
Jesse didnât say anything. He thought Nydia wouldnât cook anything for Vergil to eat, so waiting here was useless.
After about fifteen minutes.
Nydia came out with a tray, which had two bowls of noodles on it.
Vergilâs eyes lit up: Mine, mine!
Jesse: One for me, and one for my wife!
âEat.â Nydia put the two bowls of noodles on the table.
Vergil immediately reached out to pick up a bowl, and although Jesseâs gaze swept over, Vergil stubbornly held the bowl, âThis bowl is mine!â
âOkay, itâs yours. Eat it.â
Jesse suddenly felt that the bowl of noodles wasnât as delicious as before, and his gaze towards Nydia was somewhat resentful.
âWhatâs wrong? Is there something you canât eat?â Nydia was unaware of his emotions.
âMissus, itâs delicious! So delicious!â Vergil praised crazily while eating, afraid that Jesse would take away his bowl of noodles.
The noodles were actually quite ordinary, but the soup and ingredients were not. Nydia added some meat, radish, half an egg, and mushrooms with a mild taste. She also controlled the cooking time of the noodles well and added ice cubes in the middle to increase their elasticity. As a result, the noodles were chewy and smooth, the broth was delicious, and the sour radish stimulated the appetite and reduced greasiness.
Unlike Vergilâs wolfing down his food, Jesse ate more elegantly, and he still had half a bowl left after Vergil finished.
âSir, donât you like it? Can I have it?â Vergil was still unsatisfied.
âGet out!â Jesse spat out through his teeth.
âThank you for the delicious noodles, Missus. Theyâre very good, very good!â Vergil quickly retreated.
Even if he had to take the blame for something today, it was worth it! It was so worth it!
Nydia saw that Jesse was still eating and took off her apron and prepared to leave.
âWhere are you going?â Jesse asked.
âBack to the room.â
Jesse asked a stupid question, and he realized it himself and shut up immediately.
âCome here, and Iâll tell you about the problem with your bowl of noodles today.â
Nydia frowned, wondering if there was a problem with her noodles. Although she had not tasted them herself, she was confident in her cooking skills and believed that there should be no problem. Moreover, how could there be a problem when Vergil ate them so happily?
âWhatâs the problem?â she asked, her face serious.
