Chapter 376 Mr. CEO, I Was Wrong!
Reborn Before The Divorce
Theoâs behavior left Nydia stunned. She immediately looked outside, but there was nothing there. Soon, Theo came back in.
âWhatâs wrong?â he asked in a lowered voice.
âIt seems like someone is watching us,â Theo said, his voice still low.
Nydiaâs heart skipped a beat. Who could be watching them? Barclayâs people or Jesseâs people?
âThe other side is quite skilled. I didnât notice anything when I went out earlier,â Theo continued.
âHow did you notice someone was watching us?â Nydia asked.
âMy intuition!â Theo answered, realizing that he had been too abstract. âI trained specifically for this when I was overseas. After a long time, you develop a kind of intuition where you can sense someone staring at you. Thereâs a mysterious field that I can detect.â
Nydia silently gave him a thumbs up. âImpressive!â
âIâm going back now. Be careful,â Theo warned, regardless of who was watching.
Nydia returned home and saw Jesse sitting on the sofa with a not-so-good expression. She walked over and wondered what to say, but Jesse frowned and sniffed, âWhy do you smell like medicine?â
âI was helping someone with their illness. Is that impressive or what?â Nydia joked.
âHelping someone with their illness?â Jesse seemed to ponder.
Nydia thought he believed her, but then she heard him say, âI must have made enough money from stocks recently to cover the loss.â
â⦠Get lost!â Nydia told him.
âShould I take a shower first or you?â Nydia really wanted to take a shower. She smelled like medicine, but if Jesse took a shower first, he would sweat.
âWhy not together?â Jesse asked.
âThen letâs do it together!â Nydia decided. After all, he was the one who would suffer if they showered together.
Nydia and Jesse went to the bathroom together and both took off their clothes for convenience.
âIâll rinse off first,â Nydia said and stood under the showerhead for a quick rinse.
Jesse regretted his decision to shower together when he saw the water droplets falling on Nydiaâs body. He looked at his injured right hand and blamed Barclay for it.
It was like having a delicious dish placed in front of him, a dish he loved, but couldnât eat because of his dietary restrictions. It was making him feel uncomfortable.
âOkay, Iâll wash you. Raise your hand,â Nydia said.
Jesse raised his hand and turned his back to Nydia.
Maybe it would be better if he didnât look.
Soon he realized that he was wrong and there was no improvement at all.
When Nydiaâs hand wandered around his body, he could only use his left hand to support the wall and suppress his thoughts as much as possible.
âSnap,â she lightly tapped him, and due to the water, the sound was particularly crisp.
Jesse felt a âbuzzâ and turned his head in shock to look at her.
âI just wanted to test the elasticity,â she smirked, obviously intentional.
However, the next second her wrist was grabbed, and the force was so great that it made her feel painful.
âDo you think I canât do it with one hand?â his voice was low and dangerous, slowly forcing her into the corner of the wall, âwant to try?â
Nydia glanced down and immediately shook her head.
âMr. President, I was wrong! I dare not do it again!â
She quickly adjusted the cold water temperature with her other hand and hurriedly cooled Jesse down, otherwise she was really worried that he would disregard everything.
She was just teasing him, thinking he couldnât do anything, but who was Jesse? Is there anything he canât do? He dared to carry her when his legs were better, and now he might lose control of the situation.
The cold water did cool Jesse down a bit.
âIâll hold the shower head for you, and you can wash yourself.â Nydia said weakly.
She could see that Jesse was very angry and suppressing his anger.
The low pressure permeated the entire bathroom, and even with the warm light on in the bathroom, it still felt chilly.
After Jesse finished washing, Nydia was very careful when helping him get dressed, afraid that she might accidentally cause discomfort.
After he was dressed, Nydia breathed a sigh of relief and planned to watch Jesse leave the bathroom.
âWhen will my hand be better, according to the wound healing cycle?â Jesse suddenly asked.
âAccording to the wound healing cycle, you can only do simple things with this wound after at least half a month, and to fully recover, it will take two months. The wound is too deep,â Nydia said.
And, because it was the position of his palm, any exertion would affect the healing of the wound.
âI can only endure for seven days.â
Nydia was stunned for a moment before reacting.
What the hell, just seven days!
âMoreover, I think my hand can still do it even without using force.â
â⦠â
Sure enough, when a man wants to have sex, he can use any means!
âDonât you know how to treat people? If you canât stand it, you still have your left hand!â Jesseâs face suddenly darkened, as if greatly offended.
However, to Nydiaâs surprise, he didnât say anything and left the bathroom.
As soon as he left, Nydia was happy and quickly took a shower. Then she appeared in Jesseâs bedroom feeling refreshed.
âWhat happened to those troublemakers the other day?â
âA few were detained, and those who were incited were educated and released.â
âWhat about the one who stabbed you with a knife?â
When the person was mentioned, Jesseâs eyes flashed with a hint of hostility.
Even her gaze had a hint of coldness.
âIs he Barclayâs man?â
âNo.â
âThen why did he stab you with a knife? At the time, he seemed to be risking everything and wanting to die with you.â
âAnd he was hiding in the crowd quietly, causing no trouble before, so he wasnât noticed. He only rushed out when the bodyguards relaxed.â
Jesse spoke coldly, âHeâs also a lunatic.â
Nydia was stunned and didnât quite understand what Jesse meant by saying this.
âHis wife ran away with someone else, his daughter got sick, and all the money was spent. He had no way out, and his mind twisted, wanting to die with me.â His voice was cold and hard, and he kept looking at Nydia while speaking.
Nydia felt uneasy under his gaze. âWhat are you going to do?â
âWhat do you want me to do?â
Why did she feel like it was a trap?
She had to think carefully and not answer too casually.
âShall we talk to him? Or go see his sick daughter first? Since you said he has psychological problems, it shouldnât be his intention. Letâs find out first.â
But Jesse sneered, âHe almost hurt you.â
After thinking for a moment, Nydia said, âHe should pay the price, but if his daughter really needs help, we can help.â
Jesse scoffed, âYou are too kind.â
Although she knew he was not happy, Nydia continued, âLetâs see a psychologist tomorrow and then go see his daughter. What do you think?â
âNo!â Jesseâs cold attitude made Nydia sigh.
It was obvious that he was unhappy with her approach.
He was a person who would never forget a grudge! She thought that if things didnât work out, she would go and see the manâs daughter herself.
As she was thinking, Jesse spoke, âYou want me to spare that girl, donât you?â
âWhat are the conditions?â she asked.
âArenât you mocking my hands?â He slowly raised the corners of his lips, with a hint of evil in his smile, âI think your hands are good.â
